Dungeon Siege III

Anyone else picked up the demo on the 360? I tried it this morning and it's not bad. It's a hack n slash/dungeon crawler, so don't expect it to be very deep in terms of gameplay. The cutscenes are nice and I do like the voice acting in French. The gameplay zones do look a bit dated, as I felt like I was playing a big-screen version of a PSP game. This being said, it does exactly what it's supposed to do, so if you're into that genre, you'll probably be satisfied by it.

What remains to be seen is the number of hours of play this offers, compared to portable hack n slash games (hopefully a bit longer, to say the least, than Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance). I'll probably pick it up when it drops in price, rather than when it comes out.

Pretty generic and dull and the multiplayer is pretty broken. I'd wait even below $20. It's just not very good.

The only reason I got the expansion for the first one was because Ultima V Lazarus (http://u5lazarus.com/) was made for it. Thought that all of portnoyd's criticisms were valid even from the first entry in the series, and I don't think I picked up II...certainly won't get III.

The game is horrible. I'm a big fan of Dungeon Siege 1 and 2, and this game failed in comparison. Gas Powered Games did a heck of a better job before Enix took it over.

I liked the demo, but the way they screwed up MP was what killed it for me. I will pick it up when it hits the 10-15 range, play it for the weekend then sell it off. I like a decent hack n slash.
