Do you accept trades? Are there any games or systems or DVDs that you're looking for?

:bad-words: God damn it, why do you have to post this right when my TV fucks up and I need to get a new one.

^ This. I'd be down for trading for EB0 if you really need cash for EB.

I'd trade just about anything out of my collection (http://www.backloggery.com/oobgarm) for a complete Earthbound. I've had just the cart for ages now. :)

This. Not so much the TV thing, but I can't spare any money this month except for the little I've got in my Paypal account.
But if the fact that I've been mentioning Earthbound in every other thread I post in hasn't clued enough people in, I fucking need this game the same way diabetics need insulin.
I don't care about EB Zero though. Anyone who wants it can have that. But if I can work out any possible arrangement with the OP, I'll take it.

I can't believe you found a maniac willing to give you almost 400 USD for a video game and a cardboard box. I love collecting as much as the next guy, but jesus christ, gimme a break.

Reason why I hope an entire warehouse is discovered with copies of the game.
I want the value to drop like a rock so "collectors" can cry crocodile tears.

Just as a follow-up to my first post, I post this in hopes that whoever is paying $350 for this game feasts his or her eyes on this (note the date)

Seriously, if I had this game and wanted to get rid of it, I would sell it for like 20 USD, because it's worth 20 USD of entertainment. Selling it for a super inflated price like this does nothing but hurt retro game collecting and collectors as a whole. It's not cool, and it pains me to see it happening, and to see people actively buying into it.
PS: If you recognize this image, I give due kudos to who it belongs to, no worries.

Someone used a debit card for a $2.85 purchase instead of cash? I'm more surprised by that than the price of the game.

I don't understand people that do that. I'm serious. Personally I carry anywhere from $100-250 on me at all times. In addition to my bank card, credit card, etc.

This is seriously such a dumb post it hurts. It's supply and demand. When a TON of people want an item, the price will raise. This is just obvious dynamics of anything that's desired. Of course I would love to buy said game for $20, but it won't happen, ever.

No, it's not supply and demand. I'm aware of how supply and demand works, but thanks for the quick 101. The supply of Earthbound is not low, by any means. Certainly not low enough to command the ridiculous prices it does. The only thing pumping up the price is greediness, period.
And yes, there is a chance you can buy Earthbound for $20. As you can see in the pic, I know a guy that bought it for $3 just a few days ago. Patience.

Is it really called for to rub salt in people's wounds like that? If people really want to own the official English SNES release of Earthbound, then they don't have much option than to pay the ridiculously high prices. What do you propose, that they spend the next 20 years hoping to get lucky like that guy? It really doesn't matter how many copies are out there because any copy in the wild is going to be snatched up immediately since collectors and resellers know its current worth. You would not only happen to be lucky to find it at all but you'd also have to be lucky enough to have PERFECT TIMING. Who knows how many thrift stores, flea markets, garage sales, etc. we've all been to that had Valkyrie Profile, Suikoden II, Earthbound, etc. just a day or even an hour before. With diligent hunting, I think everybody is capable of landing some great finds, but waiting to find a specific great find? Good luck with that.

Same here. If you were to look at my bank statement you'd see atleast two $.85 purchases a day(drink purchases before I go to work and on my lunch break) among other purchases that might be $8 or less. Cash sucks. Spending cash makes change. It both gets in the way or lost, so it's much more convenient to carry a card all the time.
I don't understand people that do that. I'm serious. Personally I carry anywhere from $100-250 on me at all times. In addition to my bank card, credit card, etc.
If your cash gets stolen or you lose it nothing you can do. If you notice you lose your card or it's stolen, a quick call to the bank to have it cancelled immediately, anyone who may have had it might not have had enough time to use it.

What's with the thread crapping? The reason I like to sell things on DP is because I figure most of its members are mature enough to understand that a game will sell or not sell regardless of what people say a game is worth in the posts.
If it's any peace of mind, I purchased this game for the same amount I'm selling it for.
I'm just trying to make a living here like anyone else.
Also, grow up Kellhus. Your posts aren't making a difference. EB has been selling for 300+ for years and there's nothing anyone can do about it. Complaining in my thread that 10 people are going to look at trying in an attempt to ruin my sale is just sickening. And I'm not responding to your posts because I'm afraid you're going to ruin my sale (Because I've already gotten 10 offers) it's because you should give the rules a certain amount of respect and the other members of this forum the same amount.
If you want to cry about how much EB sells for, have some respect for your fellow members, and this website, and do it in the appropriated place.. like the seven "EB costs to much" threads.
You've tried to ruin my thread TWICE in the same day? Really, what's your problem. It's against rules and disrespectful to the seller.
Sale spoiling
Please do not march into a thread and state that you can get an item for $X on eBay or some other online store. If you think their price may be too high, don't be rude about it. If others feel the same way, then it won't sell. This is a hobby where each person gives an item a different monetary worth. While it's fine to look out for others, people should also do research into the item they are buying.
Similarly, if you want an item that someone else is also asking for, it is better etiquette that you create your own topic with your contact information, trade list, or the price you're willing to pay.
I have no idea who you are, but I've taken it personally that you're bringing this garbage into someones personal sale thread.

It's not my fault you took out a second mortgage for a game and want it back now buddy.
I find it sickening that someone would sell a game for $350, you find it sickening that I voice my opinion on it. Fair enough. I'm done posting here. Sorry to rile things up.
Also note that I didn't call you out personally in a single one of my posts, nor did I try to "ruin your sale" in any way.
