Solatorobo comes out soon in Europe, so I'm going to be preordering it as soon as the option's up. I was hoping to get a French edition of the game, if I can. Do French games usually have French packaging and French-only in-game text, or do they usually have multi-lingual packaging? Would this be the kind of game where I'd have to buy the French version to get the option of in-game French text, or would that probably be in every version?

It really depends on the release. Some will be French only. Some will have French packaging but the in-game will be multi lingual. Some will be multi language for everything.
However it has DSi enhanced functionality, so it won't work on American DSi units (or later), just the original DS and DS lite. Which do you have?

I have an original DS, and have been playing the Japanese version without a problem. Should be good there.
Thanks! I guess I'll just have to wait until I can see the packaging or something? Is there a good way to check?

You're probably going to have to wait until some start showing up on Ebay.FR or on a collector's website. I don't know of any retailer that uses anything other than stock photos and generally they use a generic English cover even if they have a French or German box which they are actually selling.
