Multiple controller switchers?

Do these sorts of devices exist?

By that, I mean a device where you could plug in two or three different kinds of gamepads (say, a normal pad, an arcade stick, and a DDR pad) and just press a button or flip a switch to change which one you want to use. I'm specifically looking for some for my PS2 and Dreamcast.

Does anyone know if these devices exist?

I haven't come across such a beast, sounds like modding a multitap.

I have given a lot of thought about such a device, but I'm pretty sure it would have to be hand built. No such device was ever released to the public that I know of.
