Hey guys I've got this model 1 thats got a very odd problem two years back I was playing Shining Force CD when it just shut off I turned it back on and it still powered on but it only displayed the space back ground and thats it no
Sega logo or anything. I fixed it before by just taking it completely apart and reassembling it but that only lasted for like 1 month. Now it has the same problem and now everything I tried to do to fix it has failed and instead of it being neglected sitting in my closet I feel its now time to get it fixed. If anyone would want to take on this challenge let me know or PM me. PS I've also got a Nomad with a damaged screen and screen cover if anyone would want to tackle that.:help:

Have we tried cleaning/polishing the connector between the genesis and the sega cd? Ve pulled some crud off mine even though the little red protector was on it.

Oxidation forms regardless of such protections unfortunately. I'd definitely try cleaning the contacts on both the SegaCD and Genesis. If that doesn't work I could come up with a few other things to try on your end.
