monkey island game help installing. 3.5 discs

Hi, i have lots of classic pc games such as monkey island, loom, cruise for a corpse, operation stealth and many more. wonder if there is something i am doing wrong as when i load them up on pc only operation stealth works but find it hard to believe that all the other games don't work.
Is there something need to get them to work?

Have you tried to talk to the important pirates?

Try installing them under DOSBox. I had to do that for a couple of old graphic adventure games.

Its been a while, but I do remember using scummvm to get those lucas arts games to work under linux.
