Famicom AV system game compatability issues

I have a Famicom AV system. Its a sweet system I recommend everyone getting. I am having an issue of not being able to get one game to work on it. The game is Castlequest. Every other game I have works. I have cleaned the Castlequest cart and it works on a regular Nes system. I have cleaned the contacts on the Famicom AV system and the adapter I use to play Nes carts with. I am stumped as to why the game won't work. Has anyone else had trouble getting the odd game to work on their system?

Well some adapters aren't made right and have issues with games like Fester's Quest and Castlevania 3. I know that much. Never heard of Castlequest being one of them. Huh.

well if you are really interested, I could sell you my Famicom version of the same game in question, Castle Excellent. My copy does indeed work with my AV Famicom.

Wasn't there some significant difference between the two games? IIRC, one gave you like 50 lives but omitted a password feature?
