Well, Atari has like many consoles: Atari VCS 2600, Atari 7800 Pro System, Atari Lynx, Atari XEGS, Atari Jaguar, take your pick.

Atari 5200 Supersystem was not available as a PAL unit.

Some of the rarest Nes games:

-Rodland, only released in Spain and some units in the Netherlands and Italy.
-Mr Gimmick, only released in Scandinavian countries.

NES: Ufouria is uncommon and highly desirable, Banana Prince was only released in Germany. Mr Gimmick is definitely the rarest PAL nes title and will set you back a few hundred bucks...

SNES: Daze Before Christmas only released in Germany, Castlevania Vampires Kiss seems pretty rare

Megadrive: Daze Before Christmas only released in Australia, Alien Soldier seems desirable but I dont think its actually that rare..

some pal megadrive rarities i find are tough to come across, but these and many others pop up on ebay from time to time so they are not 'Darxide 32X' rare!!
Mutant League Hockey
World Championship Soccer 2
Madden 97
Fatal Fury 2
Time Killers
Punisher
Death And Return Of Superman
Daze Before Christmas
Pirates Of The Dark Water
Bodycount
Mega Man: The Wily Wars
Super Probotector
Ecco Jr
Alien Soldier goes for over a hundred euro but most Treasure games do!

Gimmick is up there but it's not the rarest by a long shot. Rodland, Snowboard Challenge and Phantom Air Mission take the top spots. Of the three, only Rodland didn't get a US release. Snowboard Challenge is Heavy Shreddin' and Phantom Air Mission is Ultimate Air Combat (pretty sure, anyway).

There's also a bunch of HES and Gluk unlicensed shit that is hard to come by in some cases.

For the Saturn: Keio Flying Squadron 2, Deep Fear and any other expensive Saturn RPG also released in the US (PDS, Shining Force III, Dragon Force). BTW, PAL version of Shining Wisdom is dirty cheap when compared to the Working Designs' US release

SNES: English Terranigma is extremely uncommon, I've never found one on Polish auction sites and was forced to use British eBay. Tha same thing with Secret of Evermore. Other rarities: Castlevania: Vampire's Kiss, Harvest Moon, Street Fighter Alpha 2, English Lufia 2, English Secret of Mana.

Rodland is far more common then PAM and SC (but still quite rare), it's just a very high profile game which is why it's so expensive

for PAL NES some of the ESP games are crazy hard to find (all of the 3 above games are ESP coded)

PAL PS1 has some really rare games aswel, mostly early releases without the Playstation border (Hebereke's Popoito, Philosoma etc) or late releases that came in low print runs like Blockids and Destructo 2

Speaking of PAL PS1... European releases of Legend of Dragoon and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night are way more expensive than NTSC US versions.

Snesguy, chance of finding anything truly deemed rare in Australia in the wild are pretty minimal. Your only real chances of finding anything rare on the consoles you have mentioned are the following games:

Mega Man Wily Wars - Megadrive
Daze before Christmas - MD/SNES
Uforia - NES (debatable if this is rare or not but gets some good $$$)
Terrinigma - SNES (same as uforia)

And pretty much the other titles already mentioned but I will say in all of my years of hunting I have not came across nearly all the games mentioned in this thread in the wild and its even worse now with everyone thinking any classic game is worth 2k monies on eBay.

Kizuna Encounter on the AES. Only 12 PAL copies were made.

Banana Prince: $45 – $75

PS1 games in Aus:

RPG's, seriously most RPG's fetch a good value on the PS1 so things like:
Final Fantasy Anything
Suikoden 1 and 2
Legend of Dragoon
Star Ocean 2
Legend of Legia

Also Capcom fighters seem to fetch a bit too:
Street Fighter Alpha 2
X Men vs Street Fighter
MSH Vs Street Fighter (both this and X Vs SF where Blockbuster only releases and are a little hard to come by)

PAL Knuckles Chaotix is by far the most expensive region IIRC.

I think Fire Pro Wrestling Returns might be tricky to find in certain areas. Not sure which countries or retailers got sufficient copies.

Wasn't Darxide (an European exclusive) the most expensive 32X game?

Probably. Still, comparing that version Chaotix to either USA or JPN is striking nonetheless.

So glad I have a copy :)

Star Ocean 2 is also pretty rare in EU. I refuse to pay the £60 it commands on Ebay/Amazon. Still yet to see one in the wild.

Kitzune Encounter for MCD and Darxide, T-Mek and Primal Rage are all amazingly rare for the 32X.

These are rare, but most certainly not the rarest.

BTW: Sentinel did not get a US release. It only exists as a prototype:

Rarest VCS PAL original titles:

Rarest VCS PAL titles in general:

Of each title on these lists there are 3 or less carts known to exist.

yes they are more expensive then the NTSC versions, but they're by far not in the top 25 rare games.. they're just "famous" and popular, hence expensive :)

there are many AUS / NZ only PS1 games and sets that are really rare, the top one offcourse being Grand Theft Auto Double Feature (http://www.playstationcollecting.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2564&p=24724)

SNES:

Starwing competition PAL is rare I suppose (a few thousand made) although one can buy one at ebay at almost any given time (for absurd prices). I let a few pass for far far lower prices some years ago, ...

I've only seen Soul Blazer in it's PAL form once (offline). Since it was in French I resold it and bought the more common NTSC English version with it (while still maintaining some cash to spend)...

One Piece Unlimited Cruise Double Pack released only in Germany.
Dokapon Kingdom was Wii exclusive for PAL (no PS2 there), and I believe didn't reach every country.

Game Boy Hammerin' Harry is very scarce. So hard to find it isn't even documented whether it's actually rare. Too few copies appear at any price to be sure.
