Is $55 for this game a good deal?

Is it loose or complete?

Loose it's from a store though not a person. It's tough to determine the real value of certain games because you don't find them often. Ebay is the real culprit. I have never even seen Hagane for example it can't be R4. Run into a few Earthbounds though.

I see loose carts selling for $30-$40 on ebay, the cheapest on Amazon is $42 with shipping included(US funds but we're about par now). I don't think $55 is that good unless you'd be able to trade for it.

I was lucky enough to find this game awhile back for just under $5 total, but I still haven't played it as I haven't found the first game yet. I know these types of games are pretty hard to come across in person, and while I've found some Earthbounds for good prices I stupidly didn't buy them. I can't recall ever seeing Hagane in person either. :(

55 seems kind of high, I got my copy off ebay buy it now for 35.00 like 3 months ago, but if youre fiending Id jump on it, especially if its mint. This game is great but it seems harder and harder to find copies with a non screwed up label.

You're better off playing Lufia 2 first. The first game is kind of boring and cookie-cutter, so it may turn you off to the idea of playing the sequel, which is quite different and MUCH better. Lufia 2 is also a prequel, and the intro of the first Lufia spoils the ending of Lufia 2. There's no problem playing them in order like the developers probably expected back then, but as someone who played Lufia 2 first, I really appreciate the impact of its ending when you don't see it coming at all.

I guess I don't have to wait then, I wasn't sure if they needed to be played in order for the plot as I didn't read up about the storylines. Though I'm wanting to play through the Phantasy Star games in order even though I really want to play the 4th one, that's the first one I started but I held it off as I managed to get the other games soon afterwards(GBA collection).

I still have a large backlog so I won't get to it right away, I haven't even touched Pier Solar yet and I've wanted to play that for ages. Who knows, maybe I'll find the first game before I get a chance to start the second. LOL

I've had one up in the nintendoage forums with box and manual (box not in the greatest condition) at $60 for a couple of weeks, so $55 for cart only would be excessive.
