I have Socket, it's not the worst game out there but it's far from great. So very far.

Really? Because I have good memories about that game. I never owned it; I rented it when I went visiting my father during my vacations. Everytime I went there, I carried my Mega Drive with me and rented the game...I thought that, although an obvious rip-off, it was faster and more frantic than the Sonic series itself - and the "recharge you batteries" thing added to it. It's been a long time, though; maybe I should play it again.

Truxton

TRUXTON

A THOUSAND TIMES TRUXTON!!!

One of my favorite vertical shooters of that or any generation!

Great, I got this game with me right now, borrowed from a friend who had no console, but some genesis games lying around. I'll give it a serious try today.

I found one of those Genesis Plug and Plays a couple of months ago and one of the games on it was one I'd never heard of before - Flicky. I really loved it. I liked it so much I went out and found a CIB copy. Great game.

Cool, let me know what you think.

I particularly love the soundtrack.

Socket's an okay game, but it's very short and very easy... I think I beat it in under an hour, the first time I played it much. While it lasted it was decently fun though. And yeah, it's definitely a shameless Sonic clone.

A big thumbs up to a few titles already mentioned that are personal favs(Herzog Zwei, Warsong, Starflight, D&D Warriors of the Eternal Sun) Some I haven't seen suggested are:
Arcus Odyssey(fantastic 1-2 player action rpg)
Battletech (cool Mech action game that uses the "strike" series game engine)
Dune (1st RTS on a console.....loved killing Sandworms)

Combat Cars

It received a lot of negative ratings but I always thought it was a great racer. Great soundtrack too.
