Which is the best version to play?

I only have the PS3 version, and it seems to suffer from constant performance issues. It's still playable, but the framerate seems to be low at all times. Are the other versions any smoother, like the PS2 or PSP versions?

The 360 version has 8 exclusive characters(4 heroes and 4 villians) that are no longer available for sale due to Activision's license running out at the time. So the 360 is the only place to play them(now only available in the Gold version which also received a platinum hits addition). But I can't really tell you how well that version plays since my copy is still sealed. The PS3 version probably has issues because it was ported from the 360 version.
