So I got out my SP for the first time in years the other day.
Figured the battery might be in need of charging, so I plugged it in and let it charge fully.
The next day, I popped in Super Mario Advance. It turned on fine, and played fine - for a while. After that short while, though, it turned itself off. I figured I accidentally hit the power switch, so I turned it on again and again, played fine for a bit. But then it restarted itself.
This happened twice more before I decided, hm, this might be bad.

Anyone have any clue what's wrong with it?
I know it can't be the battery, since I charged it fully right before

Sounds like the battery isn't holding much of a charge anymore. Time to order a replacement.

Would it be easier to replace just the battery, or the whole system?

Batteries are still pretty easy to find for the SPs. Just look on eBay/Amazon/Google. They're pretty cheap if I remember correctly.

Looks pretty cheap to me (not affiliated with this seller).

Does sound like an open and shut case of a bad battery.

Since it does seem that batteries seem easy enough to find and cheap enough to buy, I'll probably end up buying one.

Thanks everyone!
