Is there anyway to differentiate between them? There are US Patent Numbers on the back of my controller, does this mean it is a NTSC Model or do they all have US patent numbers. Cant seem to find advice on this using google.

A PS2 controller is a PS2 controller. There should be no functional difference.
In regards to if there is a specific 'UK' controller you'll need to wait for a UK'r to chime in on that.

Pulled out one of my dual shocks... has "Made in China" on the back along with US patent numbers, so I guess they're identical.

Wouldn't European ones have European safety certification numbers or something?

as far as i know, i believe some colors exclusive to that region have been released, that's really the only i personally know of
