I just came across an original xbox with 57 different cds on it. Which now I don't want to give up because the pain on getting cds on the xbox one at a time grr... Anyways is there a list of original xbox games that can play your own music as an option? I know of project gotham and Test Drive eve of destruction.

i used to spent countless hours burning cds into my old xbox b4 it died lol

anyway these are some games im aware of that take custom soundtracks

all the gta's, motogp 3 (and possibly the first 2), forza (i think), steel battalion line of contact, i think (but not sure, dont quote me) that some of the sims games if not the majority of them work with custom soundtracks, midnight club 3 dub edition (its advertised on the cd case but i never tried it myself)

you know what, i think its a pretty good bet most racing games allow you that option, but yea, off the top of my head those are some that i know of

That list is incomplete...it's missing at least Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2, Crusty Demons, and Midnight Club 2.

Burnout 3 and Burnout Revenge were great with custom soundtracks, especially when Xbox Live was still active.

I enjoyed custom soundtracks too, but they didn't always work quite right. I remember Project Gotham Racing 2 had a well known bug where only every other song would play. So you were stuck only being able to access 50% of your tracks. That was disappointing once I realized it and found out there wasn't anything you could do about it.

Their disappearance is one reason I've yet to buy GTAIV. Not being able to have one of the radio stations just playing your own music when you were driving was a big turn off. I could've used the 360's standard ability to play mp3's, but I didn't want music playing all the time, nor did I want to have to keep bringing up the guide button to turn it on or off when I'd get in or leave a car.
