Yeah, I'm new here. I was at NESfan a long time ago, then RoyalRangers NES Discussion. Neither are around anymore, but I went by names such as Nuclear Adulterer, Heavy Metal Hamster, and I think that's about it. I might have used a chicks name also...not sure.

Anyways, I notice a few names...actually one so far. Portnoyd. Maybe there's more.

I don't know the rules here really, but I'm not a 'troll' and if I screw up, apologies ahead of time. I don't know how long I will be here, I tend to lose interest quickly in things, and I rarely stay at boards. Who knows...maybe I'll be here for a long time? Time will tell..

I have some questions though.

Nintendo came out with that Nintendo Power Advance magazine. Anyone know how many issues are out and if it is discontinued? I figure I could get them on eBay, but I haven't seen anything past the 4th issue. Thought maybe it was a commercial flop. I know this is a new system, but in a way it's not (half the games seem to be ports of SNES games).

Ha, make that one question for now. My alzheimers is getting to me again >:(

There's no set limit on pixel sizes where they shrink down?

:embarrassed:

Refer to above...

How in the world are people raping the pixel limit for avatars yet I can't seem to surpass it?

Off site avatars can be bigger than the standard 80X80.

Welcome aboard, "The Manimal"... and thanks for posting your introduction as well. There really aren't many rules here, just play nice and keep it gaming related - if you want to get out of game chat for a bit there's off-topic and if you're looking to flame someone or something, there's the Battlezone forum.

Unlike many other forums, this one isn't going anywhere. Run by adults who have been running non-profit game publications since 1991. An ancient race of gamers, if you will :)

Unfortunately as old and wise as I am I have no answer to your actual question! LOL

It's not a magazine I've subscribed to. I'm sure someone can lend an assist, however.

Game on!

I remember the old NESfan! :) That's been a couple years at least. And I remember RoyalRangers when that was starting, but didn't realize there was a board.

I don't know the answer to your question either, but I have Nintendo Power Advance v.2 cover price for this issue was $14.99 US and $17.99 to the great white North!! That doesn't sound like a monthly publication. Maybe quarterly? :hmm: I checked inside the magazine and didn't see anywhere about subs, so I don't think this was a real magazine in a since, more like a Gaming Guide, similar to those old Game Players Buying guides, back in the day, that comes out at the news stand every so often, but you just have to look for it.

BTW if you need this I can sell I'm looking to unload some mags, actually I've got a bunch out right now as I'm separating them and getting them ready for ebay auctions. Just PM me if you want it. It'll probably be next week sometime before this one's listed.

V. 2 is the only one I have. I picked one up for $2 in a clearance cardboard box ( :lol ) at 'Suncoast Movies' store.. They had GBP/GBC AC adaptors for $1 each and a ton of other stuff. Didn't want to buy any though. Might actually rid of that hand cramping GBP I bought for $10 a few years back.

The original GB was kinda smeary in the picture, but it was the only GB to date that was big and comfortable with the hands. The GBA is a step in the right direction, but that GBA-SP I didn't buy (it was out when I bought the GBA, but didn't want it) because the L and R buttons on top are incredibly uncomfortable. You'd have to have one inch long fingers to use that thing.
