I just got Super Street Fighter IV: AE last night and had some problems playing it. The game boots up fine, but whenever I get to a load screen (the VS screen), the it indefinitely sticks there. I tried it in a different PS3 and it worked fine, so it's not the disc.

Is my PS3 on it's way out or something? The one that couldn't load it is an 80GB slim. I've taken great care of it, and it's in a ventilated area, set up vertically.

does the game have an option to install to HDD or not? You could try and delete the HDD data and try again. It might be corrupt data on the HDD.

It has an install option. The issue was present with the data not installed and with it installed. I'll try deleting all Street Fighter IV related game data and give it another go.

I have not tried other games yet either.

I don't think there's anything wrong with your PS3.

I've had this happen to me on a handful of different games on my system since 2008. Uncharted 2 was the last one which would randomly hang on loading screens, mostly in multiplayer when a round was starting.

I've never had any other problems with my system besides this.

If it's every single time at the exact same spot, then it could be a bluray disc fault or something strange with your HDD.
