No pics or you took them down?

With no pics and the cream of the common third party crop, it's not too off the wall.

Yeah, pictures would have helped the auction. Also, something more descriptive than "Here are the games" and a list. It would have improved the auction to state their condition, and whether they work or not.

Are you serious?

You sold them. They are not yours anymore. That is the end-all to this story.

Don't be foolish and do the wrong thing. Money's not worth being a rule-breaker and dishonest. It will follow you around.

Do the right thing and send the games already. I'm sure you'll have some special luck on an auction someday and make it back.

Didn't have the time? Are you taking pictures on daguerotypes, getting them developed and then getting engravings made so that they can be printed on paper, to create a fax or other scan type that a computer can convert into ASCII art to be put up on eBay?

I dont want to be an ass but I am going to relist with pictures and such You don't want to be an ass, you want to be a greedy SOB that isn't happy with what their auction sold for as you set it up to the buying public.

Well, then you should have spent the 5 FUCKING minutes it takes to take a picture, upload it to Photobucket and attach it to the auction. You're lucky that you even got 31 bucks listing your auction like you did.

It's fair to ask that if the winning bid wasn't worth it then why did you allow it to happen? For a quick shot at some money for this lot, you could have done worse, all the way down to $5. It's not wrong to back out now, but you have to accept and own the consequences for doing so. It's possible that anyone dealing with you, seeing this, is going to assume the worst. Is it fair? Yes. Is it worth it? That's up to you.

Listen to this man. I think we've all taken far worse beats selling something that didn't come out as well as what you got for those NES games. Be glad it didn't sell at your starting price.

You're willing to ruin your reputation here and possibly on eBay so you could potentially make an additional $30? It's not worth it my man. You've been around long enough to know that you win some, and you lose some. It's not like you sold a crazy rare item that went for peanuts. You sold a common lot of NES games that wasn't worth your time to snap a photo. That's worth tarnishing your reputation? I don't think so.

Take the cash, and next time take a picture.

No, your comments about screwing the bidder out of their product because you're a greedy prick makes you a prick.

I put auctions up over the holiday and had no issue attaching photos to mine.

I've thought of doing business with you a couple times, but not anymore. Just you mentioning that you're even considering stiffing the person who won that auction fair and square says to me that you're greedy and untrustworthy, regardless of your past dealings.

"It takes a long time to gain a customer, but only seconds to lose one."

YOU NEED TO COMPLETE YOUR END OF THE DEAL. YOU GOT A CRAP PRICE FOR A CRAP BOX OF NES COMMONS THAT YOU DIDN'T GET A PICTURE OF. MOVE ON, LIVE AND LEARN, STOP BEING LAZY.

You could be banned from Ebay if you relist the auction without selling to the winning bidder. It would be very obvious to all parties concerned, and when a seller is that flagrant about it, even Ebay isn't too big, fat, lazy and stupid to take action.

If it makes you feel any better, I sold several NES lots on eBay WITH pics and got less than I wanted. Most were common like yours.

I listed a "pick 20 out of these 100 games" auction and still did shitty.

Glad you've decided not to be a prick. Take a picture next time.

It's not just the lack of a picture, nowhere does it say that the games are actually tested or working. Just make sure to say if the games work or not in future listings.

I'm also a bit confused why you changed the text colour halfway through the list, I'm not sure it that's to separate the games for some reason or what. It almost looks like you listed the same games again by mistake, I can't tell if you're including multiple copies of the same game or if you just listed them twice by accident.

Positive feedback: 100% | Feedback score: 182

It took me almost four years to get my blue star just recently (50 positives, no sales however), and I find it quite disappointing that somebody would just trash their 100% positive feedback over a measly $30, especially since if it was their fault due to just plain o'l laziness.

If you accidentally put up a sealed Stadium Events with a buy it now of $20, I could probably understand.

But really, are you that cheap? I'm never buying anything from you that's for sure.

i've had things go for far less than i imagined they would end up at on ebay. you suck it up and you send the shit off.

putting up something for sale on ebay and someone bidding and winning the item is a contract.

if you didn't want to sell it for $31, you should've either A.) started the bid price at the lowest you would accept, or B.) set a reserve.

add another to my "will-not-deal-with list". sorry it had to be this way.

If you don't get payment then that's rainbows and sunshine for you, but you still did damage to yourself by making this public, ultimately over a non-issue (if buyer does flake). This was a conversation to be had in confidence and not in a Town Hall meeting.

mobiusclimber

For the games you had listed, you wouldn't have gotten much more for them anyway. Most NES games don't sell for more than a buck apiece, less in a bundle.

Don't sell as auctions. Set up all your ebay as buy-it-now and require immediate payment. That way you get what you want and don't have to deal with deadbeats.

Unless they pull a switcheroo and manipulate eBay customer support into letting the buyer get a free game.

Buyers have a right to get a good deal.
Even if you did relist it w/ pics youd probably only get a few bucks more.

Seeing as his reputation is almost ruined no matter what he does from now on I'm tempted to just say he should do whatever would get him the most money. Even going through with it and screwing himself out of the money won't seem to make people here happy. He already said he would go through with it, it's not like he scammed anyone and stole their money. It was kind of stupid to post a thread like this though, as long as he learned from it and won't think of doing it again why keep pushing him?

I'm so glad I don't deal with ebay, locally I would have been able to get maybe $80-$100 for those games if I parted them out(assuming there's 26 games in the lot, again I'm not sure if some titles are repeated accidentally). If I was desperate I could get $2 per game rather quickly and sell it all at once, there's enough people wanting games where I am.

Unfortunately there's usually no such thing as easy money. There's just too much competition on ebay for common NES games. you really need to put up pics and a good description to get people's attention. No offense but you put in a half assed effort and you got just about half of what you hoped for. Seems about right.

Reply with a new post by hitting the "REPLY" button (no "quick replies"). A new screen will appear in which you can state something like "LOCKED" and at the bottom of the screen, put a check next to "Close this thread after you submit your message" which is located under "Thead Management".

I didn't know you could lock your own threads, after reading that I just locked one of my old sale threads by editing an existing post. I really thought only mods could lock threads, we can't delete our double posts but locking our threads seems to be fine. Good to know. :)

I see it now, under thread tools there's the option to open it again. It seems that option is still there for previous sale threads I had that were locked by moderators instead of me. I didn't try to see if it worked on those threads, I don't need to drag those up again.

I'm glad I know it now, I won't have to ask for any sale threads to be locked as I can do it myself now. It only took me almost 3 years to find this out. LOL
