Was looking through my collection and I happened upon a sealed tape version of Pirate Adventure for the Exidy Scorcerer. Couldn't really find anything on the internet about rarity/price/collectability so I thought I would see if anyone here might have a clue about it's value.

thanks,
charles

It is hard to place a value on Exidy Sorcerer stuff, because there are so few of them. Plus, there's not much demand. Still, it's pretty cool to have as it's hard to find.

I didn't think the Exidy Sorcerer was big enough to have a Scott Adams Adventure on it. I know it was more popular in other countries like Australia. You might want to check Aussie eBay.

If you plan on getting a Sorcerer and playing it, just remember, "say yoho".

Thanks, didn't even know the exidy was available outside the US.

That's pretty awesome. Did the Sorcerer have a unique OS or BASIC that needed to be specifically coded for? For some reason I always thought it ran CP/M.

Oh if only I could get my hands on a Sorcerer for a decent price. :(

Not sure about the OS, but the back of the package says that it's written in machine language, so it would have to be coded to the processors instruction set and use whatever os calls it had for key interrupts, displaying to the screen, etc.

I'm curious if any games were released on cartridge; I haven't found any evidence of it, but I haven't looked much, and there's not a lot to find anyway.

Cool find on that tape though!

BTW in case anyone is interested there's a really cool online Sorcerer emulator here: http://www.liaquay.co.uk/sorcerer/index.html

It's actually a pretty neat little system. Wish I had one. :)
