I sometimes use the bar when I'm playing but only on the faster songs that have irregular steps that I'm not used to. Does anyone else use this and do you think it's cheating?

I have no problem with it.

I don't have a problem using it...I do have a problem because I have to use it on Butterfly in Light mode though :embarrassed: (I actually beat the song though finally...)

I have a problem with people who use it EVERY SONG. All those guys at my local 'cade think they're so good, but they have to hold on to the bar for everything they do. Sure they can get through Rhythm and Police and Exotic Ethnic with As, but I can get through EE (Haven't tried R&P yet) with my own balance.
Y'know what? The bar is there for a reason, which is to use it...
The same thing can be said about speed modifiers, which a lot of freakish DDRers seem to have a major problem with for some reason.

People REGAINING their balance, no problem, I've done it myself. But those people who think themselves higher and mightier doing songs like Rhythm and Police while holding onto the bar and just moving their feet, boasting to people like me who don't use the bar and we can't get through those songs, that just pisses me off.
