Hmm... apart from Goldeneye N64? I'd probably say James Bond for the Game Boy and The World Is Not Enough for the N64 are the next two then, though I'm not sure in what order. I haven't played the Wii game yet though. The GB one is pretty good, it's basically a Bond Zelda-style game. Good stuff. As for TWINE, it's a pretty good, nice looking N64 FPS. It's not Goldeneye, but Eurocom did a quite good job version of making something like it and solidly good.

Beyond James Bond 007 on GB, which, as A Black Falcon mentioned, is quality, I'm partial to both James Bond: The Duel on Genesis/MD and James Bond Jr. on NES. James Bond Jr. on SNES fares far poorer by comparison, it's at best an agonizingly generic platformer with lame shmup stages and manages to be generally lackluster in all respects. The Duel controls a little clunky but the action is definitely satisfying. The non-Goldeneye 3D Bonds just don't hold my attention.

Goldeneye was never a favorite, though

I can't say that I have had any issues with the other JB games I have played. I really did enjoy the one that was released for GCN/PS2 that was not based on a movie or anything, I am completely blanking on the name right now...

OldSchool, I don't do videos, but I've played them all except for the recent ones (Wii Goldeneye and Bloodstone). I found Everything or Nothing (EA 2004) to be the best "Bond-like" experience in a game. Nightfire was a great game too, so was TWINE. EA did a very good job with the Bond license, until GE Rogue Agent, which was stupid.

James Bond Jr (SNES)...

For me it is The World Is Not Enough for Nintendo 64 all the way. When it comes to similarities in gameplay to the original N64 Goldeneye this is as close as it gets. Same controller makes the experience feel similar. I always consider this more of a true 007 sequel than Perfect Dark was.

Haven't played too many, but I would say the Wii Goldeneye remake. I was expecting the game to be a huge mistake, but ended up being pleasantly surprised. The game uses motion controls sparingly, but correctly, and plays homage to the original source without over doing it.

I used to really like the old C64 game... I think it was just called "James Bond 007", since it had scenes based on several movies. It was ported to a bunch of systems, but I always liked the C64 version best.

"Licence to Kill" for the C64, probably the best Bond game after Goldeneye. And it was reviewed quite favourably at the time...

Of course, one of the best:

Also on the great Atari 2600 and Atari 5200

Just as Mayhem I have to go with Licence to Kill on the C64 as well. That game was, and still is, pretty damn entertaining.

But then again, I'm a sucker for all things C64.

I've only occasionally played any 007 game besides Goldeneye, but I did play all the way through Everything or Nothing on Gamecube. I stall out on a lot of games, so finishing that one is sort of saying something for me. Controls are good, nice variety in the levels, gadgets are useful and even though you are forced to use them at times it doesn't feel overly forced. Plus the 'Bond moments' are pretty cool. I mean, how can you not like climbing up and into a window to give a quick massage before proceeding farther into the building and offing a couple dozen baddies?!?!

I never liked Goldeneye that much, I did enjoy From Russia With Love.. not that good of a game but it was enjoyable :)

Popular choice or not, I gotta go with Agent Under Fire. I first played it on a giant projector when it came out, and the Q-Claw is probably the funnest gadget in any Bond game.

The World is Not Enough for the N64. Owned the game for about 3 years, only sampling it once when I first received it. One night I decided to pop it in and I was engrossed. Clear objectives, large environments, voice acting (in an N64 game-hazah!) and real cinematic cutscenes. To this day it's the only FPS I've ever finished.

The one thing I loved about World is Not Enough for the N64 was that the enemies would appear in random places. You couldn't just memorize their locations.

Another +1 for The world is not enough. Or TWINE as it lists on the old N64 memory card.

I remember buying it on launch day with a buddy of mine, once we finally got it home I couldn't stop useing the stun gun and hollering to my wife to "WATCH THIS!" lol, though not as good as Goldeneye IMHO it was a solid OO7 game.

Never could get into any of the Xbox-GC games after that.
