JimWise writes "The fourth Humble Bundle has been released (the third to be released was the Humble Frozenbyte Bundle). Included in this bundle are: Crayon Physics Deluxe by Klooniegames; Cogs by Lazy 8 Studios; VVVVVV by Terry Cavanagh; Hammerfight by Kranx Productions; and And Yet It Moves by Broken Rules. Each of the games in the bundle is DRM free and available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, as well as available through Steam. As with the other Humble Bundles, you pay what you want and customize how much goes towards the developers, EFF, Child's Play, and the Humble Tip."http://a.fsdn.com/sd/facebook_icon_large.png (http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fgames.slashdot.org%2Fsto ry%2F11%2F07%2F27%2F005240%2FThe-Humble-Indie-Bundle-3-Released%3Futm_source%3Dslashdot%26utm_medium%3Dfa cebook) http://a.fsdn.com/sd/twitter_icon_large.png (http://twitter.com/home?status=The+Humble+Indie+Bundle+3+Released%3A+ http%3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2FpL2JDc)

I'd buy this if I didn't already own VVVVVV and Crayon Physics Deluxe. Awesome games. I highly recommend anyone into indie PC games to pick this up.

Got it. Awesome bundle.

You could be like me and buy it for $1 as this sale, like all the other Humble Indie Bundles, is name-your-own-price. I already had three of the games (Crayon Physics Deluxe, Hammerfight, and And Yet It Moves) and knew that VVVVVV was worth the price of admission from a demonstration I played. Cogs was a "bonus" in my mind, and now I've got Mac and Linux copies of the rest of the games I already owned copies of beforehand.
Considering that it was the last spare dollar that I had, I would say it was worth the cost. Perhaps if I get more money before the sale is over I'll increase the amount by $4 - $9 as you can adjust your paid price to be more at any time.
By the way, this is the fourth HIB (1, 2, Frozenbyte, and 3) and I've bought from each one of them... even though I usually have at least one of the games in the packs. How many copies will I end up owning of World of Goo when all is said and done? I don't even particularly care for the game! LOL
So far this Humble Indie Bundle is hugely financially successful like all the others. In the first seventeen hours, they processed over half a million dollars. And these are 2011 dollars! ;)

Isn't this the set that was found to have a high rate of piracy, despite the minimum price only being $1?

*waves hand* There is no such thread. :(
Anyway, if you buy the set now, you also get a free guest pass for Minecraft that expires on August 14.
And people, if you can, please give more than $1. $1 is barely enough to cover their credit card / PayPal fees.

This distribution method can handle $1 purchases, otherwise it wouldn't be an option. Some people have upped thousands... Amazing (Notch is #1!). I want to encourage this distribution scheme. Name your own price + a charitable drive is so very win, and for everyone involved. This is what purchasing games in the 21st century ought to be. It works! :)

It's an option.
I'm saying, don't be cheapskates, donate MORE THAN $1. :P

Sure, but even if you paid a dollar, good. Cheapskates would just pirate it. ;)

There are varying levels of cheapskates.

True, but no one can change that, unless it's yourself. :)
You can start at the dollar and then adjust it higher later. Pay what you think it's worth, or what you can manage, before or after playing them a bit.

A sixth game has been added to the bundle: Steel Storm (http://www.steel-storm.com/)! If you've already bought the bundle, just go to your download page, and it'll be there.
Now give the guys another dollar! :P

Everyone who bought Humble Bundle 3... has received all the Humble Bundle 2 games for free.
BUT. If you haven't bought it, you now have to pay more than the average purchase at the time of your uh, purchase. Or something. The video explains it better.

So, I notice that the bundles are DRM free, meaning I can connect them to my Steam account. Question, are all of the games in either bundle on Steam?
Edit: A little poking around shows that, yes, all of them, with the exception of Cortex Command, are on Steam.

THIS IS AWESOME!
I picked up the first bundle but ending up missing out on the second one for some reason. I wasn't too psyched about this bundles lineup but now this makes it a definite purchase for me. The average purchase price that your now have to beat is still only is only 5 bucks and some change.

Ugh...too tempting. I haven't had time to play the games of the other bundles but to help out good causes and support the indie developers as that's where a lot of my attention has been going with modern games, I'm probably gonna jump. Just can't afford what I paid last time.

GUYS, there is only one day left. Please help them to reach 2 million dollars donated. There is a total of 12 games now for whatever price you wish!! I'd say that over half of them are WELL worth it. Hell the whole bundle is worth a hundred bucks or more to me, but donate whatever you wish! Don't pass this up, lot's of good games!!

So, how do I go abouts using this 'free Minecraft till the 14th' thing? I've never played Minecraft and neither site is being very specific.

Minecraft, I don't know anything of Minecraft being available with the bundle. Am I missing something? Both of my personal Humble Bundle #2/3 download links don't have any mention of this.

Looks like you have to have an account with minecraft in order to play the game free until the 14th. (haven't registered with it yet so this is just a guess to how it works, but seems pretty simple)
Click on the "Click Here to Play Minecraft for Free Durrng the Bundle" button on your downloads page and a section of the page will open up giving you a free till the 14th key..im guessing.

If you read the THIB site, under Bundle #2, it says:
Humble Bonus: everyone who buys the bundle gets to play Minecraft for free until August 14th!

Go to https://www.minecraft.net/ , register an account (it's free), then go to https://www.minecraft.net/humble/ , log in and enter your key when it asks you for it.

I just went through the process and it took me about 3 minutes. Once you have the minecraft account you can even use a link in the humble indie bundle download page which routes you directly to your redeem codes page on minecraft.com with the code inserted. Then all you need to do is hit redeem and download the exe for minecraft.
