7th Saga 2 and Action 52 need to be added to the rumor mill in the rarity list. They were both talked about. 7th Saga 2 was scheduled for release but failed to when Enix of America closed back then. Action 52 is mentioned online and some think there may be a very early prototype.

I had a whole list of games that were cancelled from an old gamepro magazine... perhaps tonight I will update my unreleased section of my site and have the entire list up.

yeah, i know a lot more like Congo (Viacom) and Cool Spot 2, congo was not released but it was in development for sure, a ex-viacom member posted about it a while ago

you should search for one of my old topics about the snes list, i posted some games not released there, but i know a lot more (also a lot of planned european releases that weren't released)

I have pages ready for 4 games on the list... I will try and get all the games that have boxes on half.com up when my site gets back up on the official website. I'll add those two games to my list, I found a couple of more since I posted the last time. If anyone has information for any of the games on my list, please let me know, and I will put it up.

Sure, that sounds good. I have the front scans of those games from half.com, but if your copies are better quality, that would be good. You can send me stuff at evangowan@yahoo.ca

You could add following games to the "Unreleased" list.

The Journey Home: Quest for the Throne (Neugier in Japan): Renovation translated this action/RPG for a late 1993 release, and it was actually reviewed in Nintendo Power. Unfortunately, it never showed.

Lost Mission (Shinseiki Odysselya in Japan): Vic Tokai was planning to bring this to America in 1993, but despite a capsule review in Nintendo Power, the game was canceled.

For more info . . .

http://www.emuxhaven.net/~kingmike/Projects/Cancel/lostmiss.htm

I have the scans of the Nintendo Power pieces on both games if you need them. However, I can't say if box art was ever shown for either game. I hazily remember a cover for the Journey Home, but I have no idea where it could be found.

Lost Mission is the English translation of the Super Famicom game "Shinseiki Oddysselya (1)".
Nintendo Power's Lost Mission Review

Awesome, I'll add that stuff to my list... I had forgotten about the cherryroms list (that was quite some time ago). And yeah, I do cover all regions.

I think that International Superstar Soccer was found... in Mexico. The rarity list is a bit off on it, ha.

The definition I have for this list is as follows: These titles were at one time announced by the publisher and in development, but for a variety of reasons were cancelled by either the developer or publisher. They may have been taken, retooled, and released under a different name, but for the most part this is the complete list.

Sorry if this takes away from some of the fun of finding titles.

do you know if "kung fu: the legend continues" is the same as "kung fu heroes 2"? i was told by a sunsoft employee that it was started.

Anonymous
09-09-2003, 01:45 AM
I can check, but based purely on the name, and the style of game that the original Kung Fu Heroes was, I'd guess that they weren't. The computer may not say, but we'll see.

Holy smokes, where did you get that list?

Oh yeah, the serial code for Congo is ACGE.

Anonymous

kung fu heroes 2 isn't listed as being in development or cancelled, but the original was published by culture brain. kung fu: the legend continues I would doubt is the same title, but I really have no clue.

@Evan: Let's just say that this information comes from a very reliable source. :D

do you only cover ntsc games in your list?
cause winter gold was released in pal regions, although in a very limited quantity.

Yes, this is only the NTSC releases. It also only covers games worked on by licensed third parties.

Man that list is staggering! The SNES is a great system to collect for, Vast as it is, a ton of games, some wild accessories, and a huge rumor mill section. Who knows maybe someday some of those games will pop up as ultra rares. Whoever it is will have to update the rarity lists. Way cool.

I was looking around on the Argentinian ebay site, and I came across a game called Campeones 3. My research has lead me to believe that it is Captain Tsubasa 3 (a Japanese soccer game). Has anyone ever heard of this one?

Moto-X was being written in the UK by Stephen Ruddy, who also did the superb C64 conversions of Bubble Bobble, Ghouls 'n Ghosts and Bionic Commando for Software Creations. I'll have to see if I can ask him anymore about the game, who it was going to be published by etc.

ShinobiMan

Jelly Boy was Jerry Boy in Japan and was released in America as Smartball.

It's a great game... one of my favorites. I owned the Japanese one before the American came out thankfully. The american release is missing many many think the Japanese included, seriously altering the storyline of the game etc.

Here's the list I mentioned in Hydrox's topic. Hydrox and whoever else are working on Snes and the like, this needs to be integrated into the database on the next update, if we work together maybe we can churn up some more info on these titles! I'm not real good with Snes but I'm willing to lend a hand.
