Hello all, I need a little help determining the value of a game. The game in question is a minty complete Vectrex Spinnerama. It has a mint box with original artwork, mint cartridge, and a bent instruction sheet. The instruction sheet is wrinkled as they probably all are. This wrinkles are from the instruction sheet being to big for the box.

It will be for sale after I figure out the value. If you have any interest shoot me a PM or post in this thread.

Thanks for any help you can give!

-Ken

Whenever you work out a price on this, I'd be interested in it.

I paid $40 for mine a couple of years back.

$20ish.

Quite off base as I have had an offer for over 5 times this amount today.

I will do that. The last one went for $120 on eBay, I think this is around what it will go for.

Didn't mean to be so off with the price, but it's harder to price homebrew games. Guess there's been a spike as of recently?

Good luck with the sale.

I appreciate the input Baloo, I know you were trying to help. I hope my post didn't come off as harsh. I am in the middle of selling it and didn't want to devalue it. Thanks!

With Vectrex homebrews, the sky can be the limit, especially if it's older and/or has a low print run.

As an example, we sold VecCaves/Spike's Spree, a 25 copy homebrew from CGE 2002 that rarely turns up, for $1026.51, VecSports Boxing, a more common release from the same CGE for $174.50 and Cube Quest, which they made a lot of, for $136.50.

My copy of Spinnerama was from eBay, so perhaps demand has gone up a bit in the recent times, given as I mentioned above that I paid about $40 for my copy. All it takes is at least two people fighting over it...

On that note, you really lucked in with Cube Quest there Portnoyd, as I'd not been able to get more than $60 for any copy of the game I've sold. As for VecCaves, there was a run of 100 cartridges, but not all of them were CIB or had the overlay; I believe the 25 figure comes from how many had been brought to CGE to sell. Thankfully I managed to get #2 and it's been sitting happily in my collection since.

Iirc at the time over on AA, I mentioned that it was only the second time I'd seen it sold on eBay, hence all the collectors who had missed out on it had a feeding frenzy...
