I searched but couldn't find any threads about this. G2PLAY.net (http://www.g2play.net/store/) is having a summer sale on a bunch of great games, and the best part is you can activate most of them on Steam! I bought The Witcher 2 dirt cheap and got a working Steam activation key for it shortly after. You got until tomorrow if you want to net you some great deals so be quick! The sale began on July the 15th so that's why I'm surprised a thread about this didn't exist already.
Shamefully some of them require EA's Origin service and I do not want to support that.

Well I am about to find out for everyone. I will post back if it works.

After googling I found out that there were a few issues a couple of years ago due to a lack of game keys available. It seems like they are sorted out now though, I bought two games and received my keys almost instantly.

That was pretty painless. I bought Dungeon Siege 3 for steam and was sent a retail key in about 5 mins. Activated it and downloading now. Thanks for the heads up. I hope this doesn't do anything to my steam account but I am sure it would have said something when I went to activate it.

What would it... do to your Steam account? Many physical retail games you buy includes keys you can activate in Steam, this is the same thing. If Steam accepts it, it's a legit key.

IDK I just read a few things online before purchasing. I would assume if it is a stolen key or something along those lines it could mess up my steam account. Being my first time using their service I was a little nervous but satisfied so far.

I read something - that site uses legit keys but from countries where the games are released significantly cheaper than in North America (presumably they're release cheaper to combat piracy where piracy is more rampant, but I dunno).
So basically you're buying legit keys, but not for your region.
Steam has stated that if they detect you using such a key, it will delete the game from your steam profile. I can't imagine that there is any way that they would know. I doubt they actively monitor or search for such a thing. I think the only way would be if you activated something that isn't available in your region, that would probably tip them off.

Oh god, that site again, DON'T BUY STUFF FROM THERE. It's a huge risk and you're only wasting your money.

I understand but that site seems to be pretty active, I doubt they would still be around if they had been stealing games for years.
Edit: Games not from your region aren't allowed? So basically I can't buy computer games (to activate on Steam) if I were in another country?

Well it worked for me. They won't be the first place I go to in the future but, it worked just fine here.

Some games from other regions will activate, not all. No clue which. I have one on my account "thanks" to a shady seller. Upgrading to US on that is still too expensive for me to bother. My fault for not asking questions first however.

I tried it and bought 2 Dungeon Siege 3 keys for steam for $17 each. Its a little weird because they send you a scanned picture of the key on a printed paper... but it worked.
