Hey Retro Gamers!
For anyone in the NYC area, Alligator Lounge hosts "Nintendo Wars" every Thursday.
What is Nintendo Wars?
Well, We've got 3 NES systems, 2 SNES systems, we hook them up to the TVs at each end of the Bar, (and also have a 7 foot projector screen) and we Play Old School Games all night.
Oh, cheap drinks and free pizza too :P
We make each game a competition, so you can win Prizes and whatnot just for playing old games you love.
For example, in Super Mario Brothers, we have 3 competitions,
Fastest time through lvl 1-1 (using no pipes)
Highest Score through lvl 1-1 (using no pipes)
Lowest Score through lvl 1-1 (Using no pipes)
One of my personal favorites is Top Gun, where we give a free shot to anyone who can land the plane on the aircraft carrier after lvl 1.
The Tournaments start at 9:00, but the systems are in the bar after 7, so you can come in for "free play" anytime after 7:00.
Come out, bring some cartridges if you got em, and have a blast!
Oh, did I mention it's free? Because it is.
