Hi guys, I got a Maximum Carnage collectors boxed set, with the 3 pins, hardcover book, certificate of authenticity, the SNES game CIB.... everything is in pretty good condition, besides the collectors box is a lil smooshed and creased, VERY slight tear on back... how much is it worth?
Thanx!

From what I recall, the game itself kinda sucked. It was made by LJN after all. I have never seen a collector's edition of this game up for sale, although I have never really looked for one. I may be way off base here, but I think you would be looking at $75 tops from an SNES collector.

its extrordinarly rare, it was only available for a short time on qvc, there was 5000 sets total and not all of them were sold.
its easily 200+ in the shape described.
I don't think the game sucks at all. I just got it not long ago, and my son and I have a good time playing it.

It's quite a rare item, but I have never seen a box set sell for over $150, and I've been keeping track of these for years now.

Agreed with the $150. Last one I saw came up for sale on here at around $300, maybe last October? Selller had the Genesis version and SNES version both, and wanted $300 a piece.
Got no interest, took them to eBay. I think the SNES version sold for around $175 shipped and the Genny was about $125 shipped. And both of those sets were damn near MINT, nicer than the issues you describe.
I say worth $150, and I'd offer $100 on the forums if you want to sell.

Well, I got mine for $50 shipped... actually the guy I got them from had 2, but one was missing the pins... so now I have one COMPLETE in MINTY condition... and the other missing the pins... I would think as rare as they seem at a QVC limited edition deal, they would go for about the $200+ Blitzwing said

not in beat up shape. Id say youd get close to $100 trying to sell them privately. You might be able to gouge the price on ebay.

i'm surprised to see them go for that low price,
last time this was discussed here they were much more desired. I got mine from qvc back in the day (game is still sealed) I don't see too many of them honestly

May I ask why you would post asking for "what it's worth" if you already believe it's worth a specific amount? This game has been discussed numerous times on this forum and despite its numerical rarity, it just never reached the value heights a lot of people thought it would. Your damaged copy is not worth $200 when near mint copies have sold for less within the past twelve months.

Um, I told you exactly what the last two copies sold for one eBay, one Genesis and one on SNES. After the seller listed them for here at $300 each and got no offers.
If I'm selling, then yes my asking price is going to be a little above fair value due to their rarity. But I'm telling you that a damaged and incomplete w/o Pins copy isn't getting $200 on eBay.
Sell as you want but don't tell us we don't have an answer.
