I'm in search of a commercial/homebrew version of Rummy Royal, a Whitman card game from the 60's(?)/70s. The boxed game had a large mat w/ a circle cut into 8 sections marked 10-Ace of hearts, "6-7-8", Kitty, & "POT" in the center. 2-8 plyrs won poker chips using pay cards matching the mat's spaces. I'll pay fairly for a decent, complete version, preferably Atari 8-bit, but leads to any existing video versions are greatly appreciated (please email)- thanks!

Rummy Royal is a blast. I would also be interested in a Video Game version but I seriously doubt such a thing exists. I think that game was real popular in the north but thats about it. I see you are from Minnesota, when I lived in Wisconsin everyone played Rummy Royal but here in Missouri no one has even heard of it.

Neschamp- thanks for the reply (lol). I was hoping someone may have programmed a version by now as (you know) the game is so fun! I tried once but didn't get past doing the AI as my programming skills are subpar. Stonecutter- I don't know what "Rummoli" is- anything like my previous description?

stonecutter- after doing a Google search I see the 2 games are almost exactly the same- except that Rummy Royal uses the hearts suit for pay cards/spaces, among other minor differences. Do you know of any available video versions of either game?

This may have nothing to do tiwth the game that you are looking for, but I picked up an Entex handheld Gin Rummy in box yesterday. Let me know if you're interested.
