Not sure how long that ID is planning on keeping it free, but I believe it was the result of a Twitter or Facebook "like" campaign where 100,000 users either liked or followed RAGE.
It's on rails but it's a fun shooter on both iPhone/iTouch and iPad/iPad2 the graphics look beautiful on the retina display devices!
If you like games like House of the Dead you'll probably like this.
