WANTED: Nomad ....plus questions

Yes, more questions (I'm new here...).


I've been looking for a Nomad for probably 8 years in used shops, and I never see them :( Don't want to try eBay still....I know once I buy one, I'll run across one for $20 in a shop not much later.


Could you hook any of the Genesis accessories up to this? I know you can hook up Genesis controllers...but that's all I know.

God I want one of these!

Yes, you can hook up the Nomad to a TV with a Genesis 2 RF. You can also use any Genesis compatible controllers (and I assume the mouse too) with it, as well as being able to use the Genesis 2 power supply to power it. Basically, it's a handheld, as well as a Genesis system that can be used in an entertainment center, as well as a 2 + player system. I don't think that the Justifier the Menacer, or the Motivator? would work with it, and I also doubt that the 4 player adaptor would, but other than that, everything.

If you're looking for a Nomad, I strongly recommend the rechargeable battery pack as well. Unless you have a friend in the AA battery business.

I haven't seen one of these in the wild in a long time. If you're adverse to ebay, keep your eyes on the Buying and Selling forum.

They are out there. I found one at a flea market about 3 weeks ago for $20 bucks w/ 2 games. This was the 1st time I've seen one in the wild.

I have one for trade. It's used. If you are interested I will take some pics and try to clean it up a bit. Oh yea and I will make sure it still works. PM me if you are interested and I will get back to you Monday.

You can hook them to a TV and hook controllers to them. It says you should not use the 32X with them. Some games do not work on them either. There are some games like Altered Beast that don't respond well to the 6 button controller and that is what the Nomad has built in.
