Around $400-$500.

Probably $400-500 to sell it separately.

When I get lots like this I usually pay $10-15 per complete system and $1 a game.

There aren't any expensive games. Biggest prices in there are on Contra and LoZ and those are, what, $10 apiece? I wouldn't pay more than $200 for it. I dunno. It's tough for me to really put a price on it b/c it's pretty much just a whole lot of commons.

$250 would be max and thats pushing it for me..

Yeah, hoenstly, I'd try to cherry pick the two games n system, unless he'd take a bill. Too much work for all those $2 games.

I wouldn't bother buying it at all as there's nothing in there that I need, but it's still worth $400 minumum. I counted $3 per game and rounded up slightly for the 7 NES systems(assuming it all works). NES systems are worth around $30 each, though I don't like how some had the pins replaced and some RF switches and adapters are described as new as that means to me they're aftermarket.

I get $40-50 pretty regularly for NES systems on ebay. Put a few crappy games in with it to make a bundle and people will be happy.

Net? Gross? Shipping? Just wondering if it is worth taking some of mine to eBay as I have too many of them.

I sell them for 40 or 50 on CL the same way, though I try to have about 6 games 1 of which is SMB, then I try to put in something like Tetris or Ice Hockey in to pique someone's interest. Sometimes will include a zapper, too.

I can pick up systems all day for $15 apiece at Goodwill. The only ones worth it are the ones w/ the pins replaced.

They pay shipping. Ebay takes their 15%. As long as it works good. I put one up for $50 BIN 2 days ago with Super Mario Bros/ Duck Hunt and sold it in a couple hours. I don't sell ALOT, but I sell once a week. Lowest I've gotten on a NES with any games at all was $43 and that was yellow.

I buy systems with all hookups when they're about $10 each at various thrift stores, I'd have no trouble selling them for $30 each if I fully cleaned them(outside and the connectors). Right now I'm saving the consoles I come across so I can bundle them with lots of spare games I have. I just haven't sorted through them yet and I want to have the right mix of commons and good games.

I try to avoid anything that's been opened before as tons of people don't know what they're doing and just make things worse. I don't want to spend time opening up and repairing systems that people either didn't put back together properly, or used cheap connectors that fail within a few months of use and I'll have to get replaced again(or failed lockout chip mods that kill the system completely). I've seen people bring in NES systems to game stores because they couldn't pull the game out of the system due to installing a cheap/shitty connector, it's easier for me to just avoid them. I haven't come across a system yet with a failed original connector, everything I've cleaned works fine unless something else in a system failed instead.

With this ad there's 7 systems with enough hookups(minus one adapter, can trade spare parts for this). That's $210 right there, even so with games at $3 each I rounded up $366 to $400-$500. It could still be worth more, but some games could be hard to sell which is why I kept it a bit low, plus aftermarket NES hookups could impact the value or make the systems harder to sell. There's a bunch of games there worth $5-$10 each, that should make up for the games that will be hard to sell for $3 each.

That's about how much the lot would be worth if parted out, it's up to the OP to decide what amount would be worth it for him to buy the lot at if he's either keeping it or selling it off to flip it. I would personally only pay $50-$100 for it, it's really not worth it for me to spend more as it would take awhile to sell it all and I really don't have the space to keep a bundle that size and there's nothing I'd want to keep for myself. I'd really rather not buy it at all, if it was an ad with make an offer I would ignore it completely.

Just to clarify, I already own this lot. It is my extras. I was hoping I could get $400-$500 locally on Craigslist, but the best offers I got were $100 short of the low end. I am in no hurry to sell it, so I am probably going to bundle games with a system and patiently piece it out.

I made this post to see if I was off base on the $400-$500 mark. Looks like some people agree with me and some think I am off base.

Thanks for your help guys.

Probably $350-450 would be worth it.

I'm either trying to sell in the wrong places or in the wrong way but I can't get that much for a NES system. I'm lucky to get $60 for a system and 15 games. Don't think I've really tried to sell just a system before tho (mainly b/c I always have games lying around waiting to be bundled). Maybe its just me. *shrugs*

I think for this lot, tho, the only person who'd buy it is a reseller, and it looks like more hassle than it would be worth at $400+. That's probably the big reason you're not getting better offers. And too a lot of resellers just don't have that much extra cash lying around to drop on a commons lot. There's literally nothing exciting about this group of games. You've got Arkanoid, Contra and Punch Out and that's it. No Mega Mans, no low-tier rares (North & South, as a for instance)... basically nothing to really catch the eye. A lot of times I'll buy a bundle simply b/c there's one or two attractive titles in it, even if I won't be making a whole ton reselling. I just like to always have "rares" for sale, even when they're not that rare.

For full value you can't sell it as one big lot, you'll only get the resellers who will want to buy it cheap to break up into smaller bundles.

Though you have seven systems, you should make 6 lots as you can't include more than 1 copy of Super Mario/Duck Hunt with a system. You won't have enough games for 7 systems. Plus you're missing an adapter so you wouldn't be able to sell one system anyway. It's good you have 2 regular controllers for each system, and enough zappers. Bundle around 15-16 games per system as well as the cleaning carts.

I don't usually include zappers when I sell a system for $30, usually with a zapper and Super Mario/Duck Hunt I'd ask for $40(I usually throw in Super Mario/Duck Hunt with a $30 system too).

Anyway, try to mix up the games so there's an equal amount of good games to bad distributed throughout all of them. The best games in there that I can see are; Zelda, Mike Tyson's Punch-Out, Contra, Arkanoid, Metroid, Tetris, Tecmo Bowl, Donkey Kong Jr, Dr. Mario, Batman, Excitebike, Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers, Ducktales, Metal Gear, Ninja Turtles 2, and the various Mario Bros games. The rest are mostly generic filler titles, though you might find some people interested in Paperboy or Spy vs Spy too.

Price each lot at $100, if you get an offer of $80 just take it. You should be able to get at least $480 for 6 lots, unless your area really sucks which means you might only get $60 per bundle. Now you'll have one system left, you'll need to get another adapter so trade for it as you have an extra zapper, extra RF switches, specialty controllers, etc. You can sell the system by itself(including a zapper) with a copy of Super Mario/Duck Hunt for $40, or if you bundle all the spare copies of Super Mario/Duck Hunt and whatever other spare controllers you have at this point you might be able to get $60 for it. You'd probably get more if you started selling the Super Mario/Duck Hunt carts separately as well as the specialty controllers but that would probably take awhile.

While individual systems can sell for $30-$40 by themselves, as soon as you start bundling games with them the value of the system starts going down. That's what I've noticed, but it's basically the only way to sell large amounts of common games at once. I used to just sell the systems separately because they always sold well, but now I have boxes full of commons so I stopped doing that. I'm going to bundle mine with 20-24 games for $100 each, it might take a bit longer to sell but they'll still sell. Anyway, that's what I'd do if I had to sell off that giant lot above. There's no real way to get a decent amount for all that in one shot. It might take a few weeks to sell each bundle, but they will sell. At least in my area they would.

Good luck and sorry about the wall of text.
