I purchased a new copy of Persona 4 for collector's purpose. It was listed as new and with the Data book that supposedly makes it the special edition. The total cost was 55 dollars.

I finally get it in the mail. While the game is unopened, the book was damaged due to poor packaging. So two questions,

1) Is a new copy of Persona 4 with a damaged data book worth 55 dollars, or should I return it?

2) Were the game and book sold separate (as in not wrapped together?)

Thanks!

Not sure. The game should have at least a SLIGHT price increase with the anime in the works drumming up interest though.

Where'd you get it from? A retailer, return it. eBay, might be more hassle than it's worth. Of course, since it's eBay, you can file a SNAD and likely get all your money back and potentially fuck over the seller and keep the damaged game.

That's the artbook right? I know it was a preorder item, but places like Amazon had them offered for awhile. I don't seem to remember it being attached to mine when I got it.

I got mine from amazon and it came unbundled. Fairly certain on that. I got a used copy to play, so if it came bundled it would still be that way, but it isn't.

Yep, like they said I can confirm it was unbundled. It was advertised as a preorder bonus, though some places had stock for a little while after release.
