So, I finally got a hold of one of these (micomsoft XMD3), and it works but there is some definite video noise. Not a lot. Some things get a slight rainbow glow to them and basically it looks as if the image just subtly shifts every once in a while. That and I was able to play my copy of castlevania bloodlines in the exact same genesis 2 unit with a 32x while using the composite cord, but now for some reason with the XMD-3 it doesn't work. Does anyone own one of these things and experience similar issues?

Are you using an LCD TV instead of a CRT? If so, there's been reports of other people having issues with that combo also.

If you have a TV that accepts low-res over component, finding a converter that makes the RGB into component rather than svideo is an alternative to consider.

Well, it's an LED.
Yeah, I thought about getting a scart cable and passing it out from the XMD so that I can still get stereo sound out to my receiver, and then plugging that into a scart to component converter.

Got an S-video modded Genesis 2 the other day and now the XMD out of a 32x seems to have much improved video quality. Weird.
