I have PS3 never play it help?

I have PS3.... never play it.. I buy a game, get into for a bit then stop playing it. I find that so many games are complex and take too long to get into. My best friend has PS3 and loves it... I always stop and go to my NES and Genesis... is there any hope or am I getting old? At least I use the PS3 to stream movies to my tv.

There are great games for PS3, but yes most of them are more complex than NES games. Perhaps you are getting old.

You ever play the Katamari games? Those are pretty simple.

Sell you PS3 and invest in retro gaming. I don't believe you're getting too old for gaming, it's just playing a game nowadays is akin to learning a new language, as opposed to be able to pick up and bash some buttons. Kicking ass is a whole lot more complex and who can really be bothered?

Your PS3 probably sucks because it doesn't have backwards compatibility to PS2 games. If it did it'd be awesome, because then you'd have some good games to play.

HEEH I like the comments your getting old...:) hehehe...I have liked some PS3 games, the Uncharted series, call of duty and WWE.. however just find they are not as pick up and play like old school. I liked GTA as well...say when is anew one coming out?

I'm gettin old, too. I like L4D. Besides that, keep yer damn new-fangled junk. My Wii has been tested, and is now gathering dust. I have Zelda... who cares? I have a PS3 thats YLOD, but I haven't bothered even trying to fix it yet. And when I do, it'll be to test games on that I intend to sell. I play my Atari 2600 more than my 6th-7th gen consoles, besides the Dreamcast.

Have you tried any of the DLC games?

Afterburner Climax, Pac-man CE, shatter and Zen Pinball are simple fun games, with little playtime required.

I know where you are coming from. I get bored with games after playing them for 7 hours (not all in one sitting mind you). I like to just play one game at a time until I beat it, and then move on. Maybe these games are so long because they have to justify the steep price tag?

I am playing Stranglehold, and on the second level (the dock/boat level), I was like "please let this end soon." It just took forever.

Still, games like Fallout 3 and Oblivion have held my attention. I guess some games just piss me off after I feel like they should just end. <shrug>

Maybe you need to find a genre/story that really interests you and pick and choose that way?

Yes you may be getting old or maybe you just don't like where gaming is at right now. If you're not enjoying it then don't play it. Play what you like.

What? You don't adore the 10-30 hour "tutorials" games include these days? Or what about the "walk from cutscene to cutscene" gameplay?

Download some retro games, like the Neo Geo games on the PS3. Metal Slug, Magician Lord, Baseball Stars 2, Samauri Shodown, etc. Great, simple games that are a blast to play.

There are also some newer relatively easy to play games on the PS3. Motorstorm Pacific Rift and Mortal Kombat come to mind.

Or just rent some Blu-ray movies...

Strongly agree with this. I just downloaded a few new (to me at least) PSN games this past weekend and I had an amazing few hours playing just really fun addictive games. I would recommend Pixeljunk Shooter and Flower for starters.
