I recently found a complete copy of Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego for the NES. It comes complete with a DICTIONARY! I can't seem to find anything out about it. Does anyone have, or have seen this game like this???? @_@

Are you sure it isn't Where in Time... (http://www.ebay.com/itm/NES-NEW-Time-Carmen-Sandiego-SEALED-/110731199230?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item19c81802fe)?

It actually doesn't come with a dictionary, it comes with an encyclopedia. And there's plenty of themn to go around. Maybe uncommon but definitely not rare.

Edit: Also assuming it has to be Where in Time, Where in the World was never released on NES.

Yes, you are right. Thanks so much! I just had never seen one before. I never really figured it would be a rare item. Just wanted to know if there were others. Thanks for the links!

Yeah, the one on the Genesis came with an encyclopedia as well, a friend of mine (And user here on the boards) has a copy.

all versions of Where in Time... came with an Encyclopedia. It was half the gimmick of the game.

I used to rent this game and the store even made sure to include the encyclopedia. I didn't get into the game much, but I sure as hell enjoyed trying to get coffee.

Have you guys played this game recently, using the internet instead of a paper encyclopedia? It's not quite as fun :|

I had the original game on my Tandy coco, and yes I had the encyclopedia. Because of that game I learned that the capitol of Iceland is Reykjavik (Ray-Ka-Vik) so there ya go. The game works ;)

I actually really enjoy the series and I picked up the SMS version a while ago and its pretty good too :)
