Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums. So I just got this War Final Assault cabinet for free because it didn't turn on. I replaced the IEC cable and now it boots up, but the monitor never turns on. Poking around inside, I found a 3-lead wiring harness that isn't connected to anything near the power supply. Looks like this could be coming from the monitor. Problem is, there's nowhere (that I can see) to plug it in.. Am I missing something? Does this harness power the monitor or am I on a wild goose chase here? There's a smaller unused wiring harness down there too, but i think it's going to the coin mech.

The monitor is a Neotec NT-2515C, and from what I can see, there is no light or anything coming from the tube.

I posted a video on YouTube of this stuff, hope it helps a little. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks for the quick response! yeah, i followed that wiring harness down to the bottom near the transformer block where it ends, but the harness isn't hooked up to anything on the transformer, and i can't find any place to plug it in. there is an iec-female looking jack on the side of the transformer that isn't in use, but it'd need an adapter of some sort for it to fit... here's another video, i tried to follow the wires down from the monitor to the power supply where it isn't plugged in to anything. i tried to get a detailed shot of the transformer too.. hope this helps. thanks!

That was the other IEC cable that was bad. It's still bolted it down in there, I need to take it out.

Are you talking about the black jack on the side of the power supply? Would I need to get an adapter, or should I sacrifice an IEC and wire it up like that?

well, i clipped the power harness off the monitor and hard-wired it to an IEC extension cable, like this:

http://lh4.googleusercontent.com/public/np4rsm9qMXUM0ZjRh-PE1RgGdqPPUbPxh3Bcd1qMDtd0dCUZqq9nyiZ4Xn-5-tC8TC7a5UfzJXlLjTpZnD9E2ib8TyGDBpYjsM-b_arO89mAtNCMpOrOniZYeS4oK25ftsOaLjB4DcFC81KGUAoSF g_Ep1E7MVn_jqedAqvvDRtppuKNSFVxSYjW2qTw7I6M1_6l5HM

the male end fits into the power supply brick. but alas, no dice. i still don't think the tube is lighting up. just for fun, i bypassed the power supply and jacked it into an iec straight in to the wall too, no dice. there is a fuse on the monitor chassis, but it still looks good. maybe i should try replacing that?

IT WORKS! BWAHAHAHAHHAHA!

With the cable and the fuse, I'm in this thing $8, plus the gas to go get it. Thanks for all the help, Stonic.

The screen is real blurry and has horizontal white lines on it, i'm gonna hit up this ol' Innernette and see if I can dig up some more tips and trix.

I just went ahead and replaced the fuse, didn't look blown but hey. And voila, it was good to go.

Ima go play with those flyback controls and see what happens. Thanks again broham.
