Hey All,
We just wrapped a great 2-hour interview with Geoff Edwards, host of Starcade, for an upcoming RetroGamingRoundup podcast. What a genuinely great guy with tons of great stories to tell about his history in hosting radio and game shows as well as acting. You won't want to miss this one! I think we will be airing it in our September show. And even at 80 he is still a gamer!

Nice, right on the day when I'm wearing my Starcade shirt as well! Looking forward to hearing it.
Awesome- I recall you saying "we should get him for an interview, that'd be great" on the Aug show. Does he talk about that "Treasure Hunt" game show he hosted where the stage was covered in all those presents? Anyone remember that one?
Hey why dont you do the Atar-rewind feature anymore?

He touches on that, as well as many game shows he has worked on, and of course Starcade! But we also get into some aviation, radio, and even the Kennedy assassination/mystery!

awesome, on the show his genuine love of video games shined through the television screen
Yeah I noticed on some Youtube Starcade clips when just before the contestant starts playing, Geoff may say a short game tip, & it sounds real & natural like a gamer talking to another gamer, it doesnt sound stilted or dumb. Maybe the "showman" in him practiced it to come out naturally, but I was still impressed.

what is it with game show hosts and flying? Peter Tomarken of the show Press Your Luck was a pilot and died in a plane crash.
