Decided to make my own Mortal Kombat arcade machine using a GBA SP.
Space restricted me to a desktop size version.

Enjoy:

Arcades have never been my thing, but the mini ones you do with the GBAs are really neat!

Nice work. That's pretty sharp. I imagine it's hard to play, though. I need a Galaga for my desk at work. I bet you could make a few bucks if you could figure out how to do it with a trap door in the back where you can change the cart. Prob have to figure out how to do it on the super cheap though. I'd guess you could only get about $49.99 tops, and that includes a game. Yeah. $50 for the design & game of your choice.

Whatever. Little side rant there. Anyway, that's a cool little project.

Very cool. How much would you charge to make one? I know it said to email you, but I thought this may be easier for both of us.

It'd be really cool if there was some sort of MAME emu you could run on an SP.

Didnt want to turn this into a sales post just a Mortal Kombat appreciation post, however, if you do want one it would be $300 AUD + Postage. It takes 5 days to make each one by hand and each are signed and numbered. It is based on a GBA SP AGS-101 (backlit model)

Alternatively you could make one yourself if your not to bad with a soldering iron for about $150 in parts etc which can be sourced of ebay and electronic stores. The most expensive parts are the GBA SP which can be purchased for upwards of $60 delivered (allow $70) and the joystick which is $25 delivered.

I didnt go the Mame path due to the legal/moral issues of using ROM's.

For sure, thanks. I just asked because I was looking with a couple of people at work and someone asked me to ask you. I was thinking of building one if I could find a Street Fighter cart for the GBA SP.
