Final Fight - Sega CD vs Arcade

So recently, I played the arcade version of Final Fight.

Here's the thing though... I went through, and said "You know, I remember the Sega CD version being a lot more fun."

Is my memory playing tricks on me, or was the Sega CD version actually better somehow than the arcade?

The music's better. Otherwise the arcade version is better.

That being said, of the original North American console ports, I love the Sega CD version the most. It's actually in my CDX more than any other game :)

I feel the same. The Sega CD version is the best. I've never done a hard comparison and have no doubt that the CPS hardware is more powerful, but I like the CD soundtrack.

Final Fight CD is a lot of fun to play. You might remember it being slightly easier than the arcade version due to amount of enemies onscreen being limited to 4. Although interestingly enough your character does less damage on the enemies than on the SNES and Arcade versions. As previously mentioned, the Sega CD version has the superior music, and its got an animated intro with the bad voice acting typical of the era. :-)

I just want to add, I really enjoy the SCD version, as much if not more than the arcade version, but I recognize that the arcade one is technically better.

Play the SCD version with a genesis joystick and not regular controller, makes it much better :D

BTW, this is not a man. I refused to believe.

Since back in the day when the creator of the game issued a statement when Nintendo decided to take Poison out of the game because she was a girl, that she was actually a transvestite so it was alright to beat her up.

SegaCD version is great. But so is underboobs. Man or not, it's still boobs. LOL
