View Full Version : What game is this music sample / riff / whatever from?

This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgQWp_Hlius&feature=bf_prev&list=AV4oVf-d_DwKByFDVAF3X0LRIlxpk7rg_6&lf=list_related) is killing me. I know this is from a a classic game but I just can't place it. My brain is telling me gameboy ??? Help before I cease all productivity to figure this out...
Music in question starts at about 00:40 but is sampled and mixed periodically through latter parts of the track.

Does not sound like any game I've ever played, but if it is sampled from a game I'd like to know what one it is.

The key that it's playing in sounds similar to a lot of games, but I don't think the song is anything I've heard in a game. Good luck finding the answer.

... It sounds like something out of a C64 to me.
It kind of reminds me of something from Bionic Commando: Re-Armed, but other than that it sounds original.

The riff doesn't sound familiar to me though. It's probably original but I don't know for sure.

There are a bunch of people on Last.FM claiming that it's a slowed down version of Dhalsim's theme.
