Hi, I'm looking for a list of NTSC or NTSC-J game consoles that have or can have RGB component output, either by default or with a mod. I've tried Google and Wikipedia, and even the forum search on here, with no luck.
If there's a list/comparison chart of all consoles that shows all the possible video outputs, that would be great, otherwise, feel free to list them off here!
Thanks in advance.

go there for all your RGB info needs. Ask in the forums. They'll tell you all you need 2 know. I'm vkp_ashley over there BTW.
short list...
1) NES - Can output with playchoice components
2) GEN - outputs RGB native
3) SNES - outputs RGB native, not sure about model 2
4) PC Engine/Turbo Grafx - needs an amp and buffer (recommended)
5) Saturn - Yes
6) PSX - Yes
7) PC-FX - NO, but i believe it can output YUV
8) FM Towns - Only the PCs (I think)
9) MSX - I think so
10)PS2 - YES
11)DC - YES and VGA too
12)Coleco - I don't think so
13)Atari 2600 - I don't think so
14)Neo Geo CD-Yes

I believe I read on here that this requires a funky SCART connector mod or something to do it though, or am I incorrect?
Anyway, that's about as complete a list as I was hoping for, thanks for the quick reply!

Actually the TMS9928 video chip used in the Colecovision outputs component YUV video directly, you just have to mod it for component outputs. Infact there's even a mod to output digital coaxial or toslink audio from it. Of course the link is broken to the owners website sadly. http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61267

There's also a few systems from Europe, like Colecovision, Intelivision and the Atari 7800 that can output RGB, I'm willing to bet they cost a bit. However it isn't true RGB since it's derived from luma and chroma usually.
And to add a few to the list: (UPDATED August 18,2015)
Atari 2600: RGB MOD with Tim Worthington's 2600RGB Board
NES/Famicom: RGB MOD Tim Worthington's NESRGB Board or KevTres' HDMI mod board.
N64: RGB MOD with Tim Worthington's or Otaku Store's RGB board or HDMI mod with Retroactive.be board.
Atari Jaguar - RGB native
Sega Master System - RGB native
Atari 5200 - RGB MOD with an add-on board.
N64: RGB MOD with Tim Worthington's or Otaku Store's RGB board or HDMI mod with Retroactive.be.
CD-I: Certain Models With an RGB MOD
3DO: RGB MOD with Otaku Store's RGB board
Gamecube: Models with Digital Out are YUV native and European models are RGB Native
Xbox: YUV/RGB native
Fairchild Channel F: Composite MOD
Odyssey 2: Composite MOD (European Version - Philips G7000 Videopac RGB MOD)
Odyssey: RF native
Pong: RF native

I believe SNES model 2, Genesis model 3, and Wondermega model 1, need mods for RGB. It is native to Nomad and CDX. No modding there.
PC-FX I'm not sure. Little detailed technical info in the west. Might take poking around Japanese sites to find out much.
With SNES model 1, PAL units just use a different RGB cable than NTSC ones. I don't know the details about why Nintendo changed that.
Saturn has differences too. With a Euro SCART cable on my JPN Saturn, I get composite...

I think that's because European SCART and Japanese SCART are wired different, so I'm guessing they may have wired the DIN out on the Japanese Saturn different.

Well perhaps it might work right on the CRT. I'm using a totally dissimilar way of conversion from SCART there. Nonetheless I'll have that looked into when I get this Saturn region modded.

I must admit, I never imagined I would see a TOSLINK plug sticking out of the back of a game console that is 2 years older than I am.

This. And NTSC Cubes need a digital out and a modified cable (it uses the chip from the component cable) to get RGB.

The Genesis 3 has RGB right out of the box, no modding required. The SNES mini needs a simple mod to reconnect the RGB lines from the video encoder to the AV port, while the Wondermega needs an added port in addition to a mod.

Update for August 2015 in case anyone is searching the fourm or web for old information:
Atari 2600: RGB MOD with Tim Worthington's 2600RGB Board
NES/Famicom: RGB MOD Tim Worthington's NESRGB Board or HDMI mod with KevTres' HDMI board.
N64: RGB MOD with Tim Worthington's or Otaku Store's RGB board or HDMI mod with Retroactive.be board.

Worth noting a few snes model one systems can do component and psx you either need an external sync or mod it for an internal sync
