"For the safety and security of the PayPal network, we often review accounts
for potential risks. After reviewing your account, we have decided to close
it because of security issues."
The lady on the phone said "Paypal made a business decision to part ways with me. I can't have an account with them and there is nothing I can do to appeal the decision." They will not even tell me why the decision was made unless I subpoena them.
I haven't done anything to warrant this. Now I will never be able to use ebay or engage in simple forum commerce (with my own identity), because Paypal is used in the vast majority of transactions.

That's a new one to me.
Hell, subpoena them, find out what's up.
They are just a company so I guess they do have the right to refuse service.
Guess you could go google checkout for forums, but yeah I have no idea what you would do with ebay.

What is your ebay username?
It's the same as here, but as far as I can tell, this has nothing to do with ebay.

Thats BS. Paypal has been getting really stingy lately. They decided to hold all my payments for up to 21 days because they said I have a higher risk of claims, which is funny because Im 100% positive feedback and have never had any sort of dispute. I mean, how the f*** can you hold my payments from ebay including the damn shipping cost the buyer paid for and tell me to ship the item. But yeah, what he said ^

I've had customers complain to me about eBay and PayPal recently.
CUSTOMERS. What the fuck. I try to accommodate them as well as I can, but they're really starting to get on everyone's nerves.
It seems that selling in certain categories on Ebay can trigger this.

This one is new to me, they usually give you a reason as to why. Have you had customers on ebay and outside of ebay open cases against you? If so, how many. Do you donate to P2P groups, or Wikileaks types of groups? Also, dumb as this sounds, how is your credit report, and did you try to apply for that buy now pay later option for paypal? If so and you have bad credit, it is possible they deemed you a risk overall and canned you due to that, though I cant see why they would do that, but ebay/paypal works in mysterious/usually shitty ways. Honestly , if it was me, I would find a way to subpoena the info. For all you know you could have had others sign into your account from other ip addresses or something and attempt fraud, and that is why they closed it. If that is the case, they really should let you know.
