I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, but does anyone have one of these awesome-looking things?

Well luckily the Retro Duo NES/SNES Game System is here to solve all your 8 and 16 bit gaming needs. Two top loading cartridge slots, one for NES the other for SNES, ensure full compatibility with all your old games...Yeah, I really don't think that the Retro Duo boasts FULL compatibility for ALL of my NES and SNES games.

I've got 2 of these bad boys. One at work and one at home. iMAME4All works great with it. There's also about 10 native iOS games that work with it so far. Really cool device if you already have an iPad1/2. Plus it's only a 100 bucks. Not too bad considering what other accessories go for vs. what you get.

I dont have an iPad but ido have an iPhone 4.
I wish they'd make a little arcade cab that'd work with iPhones. There's all kinds of retro games that work on iPhone.

I know there's a little pinball table you can slot an iPhone into. My friend bought it. It came with a download code for the game that it works with.

This one is nicer, as it allows you to turn the screen the right way for games like Missile Command:

Awesome! I will probably pick one up. That would be great if the Cave games (Dodonpachi Resurrection & Espgaluda II) are compatible.

Actually, that upcoming Atari one uses a dock connector at the bottom. So you can ONLY have the iPad in Portrait/Vertical orientation. The iPad can be placed in vertical or a horizontal position in the iCade. I've used it to play Street Fighter 2 and a bunch of other horizontal games via MAME.

There's a groove where the iPad sits. In the middle of the groove is the protuding connector. If you use a cable to attach to an iPad on it's side, now the iPad won't seat snuggly in the groove. So you've got to prop it up with something else or risk bending the connector by forcing it into the groove.

If all you want is a joystick to use with your iPad, all you need is a Wii joystick like the MadCatz Tatsunoko vs Capcom stick. They had a sale on them for about 15-20 bucks a piece. These sticks work with iMAME4All as well so you can play all the arcade games available on the Atari pack plus hundreds of others.

You're right. I guess there's just no way to use it then. Just no way...

Most Toys R Us locations that have a full electronics department will be or are already carrying the iCade as part of their fall product change. $99.99 in most markets, if you want a local place to pick one up where you can more than likely get them to take it back without much issue if you don't like it.
