Going to get one tomorrow and i thought i ask around. What should i get? And is Zelda even a open world kind of a thing anymore or is it more of a jumper now? I haven't played the original, and i don't really want to spoil it to much by watching a lets play, or something like that. Looks pretty jumpy/runny judging by the official trailer. Thanks guys.

Star Fox Adventures is a pretty poor Star Fox game (Not a shock considering that it wasn't created to be a Star Fox game and just had the license plastered on it), but it's a competent Zelda clone. It's not in the same league as Ocarina of Time, though, so I'd say go for Ocarina of Time. But unless money is really short, why not go for both? Neither one is very expensive and both are well worth playing.

Not sure what you're asking with your other question.

How did you guys figured he was asking for star fox adventures with "SSF" ?

I frankly didn't understand shit about this thread, maybe i don't understand english very well, hahaha

I figure there is a Star Fox Adventures for 3ds ? ... because it's the " modern gaming " forum and because there is a port for ocarina of time for 3ds ...

Somehow I thought he meant Street Fighter and the only Star Fox I know of for 3DS is StarFox 64 3D which is completely different than OoT but both are excellent

I understand English just fine and I'm just as clueless about the SSF as well. ;-)

But Super Street Fighter (IV) makes more sense than Star Fox Adventures - since Super Street Fighter IV (SSF) and Ocarina of Time (OOT) are both on the 3DS. And I'm pretty sure there's a mention of the OOT 3DS feature of watching solutions to puzzles when Ludwig mentions "watching a lets play". So my guess is Street Fighter IV vs Ocarina of Time.

Street Fighter is a great portable game but I found the online play unplayable when I tried the first week the game came out. The regular game is fun but I got tired of it pretty quick. I haven't played OOT for 3DS but the original is an awesome game. Even with the graphical facelift though, the gameplay would probably seem a little archaic if you'd never played it. But even without playing OOT, I'd suggest that.

If you were talking about Star Fox Adventures - hell get both. That game is pretty cheap and worth playing for a day or two.

It's my fault, I'm not really sure how I interpreted SSF as Star Fox Adventures...

It certainly makes much more sense now.

I'm not sure where to begin on this thread...

Okay, Ocarina of Time. You're better off with Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition for Xbox 360, PS3, or PC if you want to play any version of SFIV.

DERP! Don't post in forums before at 1am short before going to bed. Sorry for the confusion, i messed up, it was very late. I was talking about Zelda, Ocarina of time and Super Street Fighter for the 3DS. Please don't hit me.

SSF is kinda hard to control with the chicklet dpad and the obnoxious analog stick. OOT all the way.

Hard to go wrong with Zelda. Most fighters bore you in a few days to a week unless you are hardcore and love battling people online. But Zelda should keep your attention for a long while and it's one of the best games all-time IMO.

OOT is a masterpiece. If you have a 3DS and you don't have that game, then you're not using your 3DS to it's full potential. I know it's a remake, but OOT is hands-down the best game on the system right now.

Done! :) Thanks.
About getting both: It's a easy thing to say for those in the US, but prices here are higher. If you buy a game for 49USD it would cost you 49EUR here, which actually is (at the moment) 66USD, this is not because it's crafted by little german dwarfs fueled by the best sausages in town, or because we are so rich, which we aren't, it's just because they can. And that's also why there is region-lock on the DS now. It's just more expansive here, and there is no reason for it, it's just corporate greed! But just imagine paying 10 to 20$ more. Yes, it's that bad, if you buy just 2 or 3 games in the US and have them shipped all around the globe* you still saved enough money to having chinese takeout or something 4 or 5 and it's basically worth a free game. I don't want to whine, but i think people really should know. Even here, many people don't realize that they pay so much more.

*You don't have to pay customs, if the package was marked as "gift".

Look on the bright side; at least you're not a gamer in Brazil.

How does $1000 for a PS2 sound?

Are they illegal or something? Who in their right mind would pay that?

The gaming and media market in Brazil is controlled by people who bootleg. You're paying hundreds, if not a thousand, for the consoles, and then around retail US price for illegal copies of games. Horrible down there.

I think I paid $800 for my launch unit.

I was such a dumbass.

Brazil has very high import tarrifs on manufactured goods.
That's why companies like Tectoy can build Brazilian SMS and Genesis clones and actually sell them for modern game prices, and not get laughed out of the market.
Anything made in Brazil has such an unfair price advantage that it can be absolute junk and still be successful.
