If you have Steam, you need to play this.
It's a Robotron-esque shooter, but it's also a rougelike that draws heavily on the design and layout of the original Zelda on NES.
It's by 1/2 of Team Meat, the guys behind Super Meat Boy.
Plus, it's only $5.

Robotron meets Rogue? Colour me interested. Thanks for the heads-up, I'll definitely be checking this out, Oob.

This game is fun, but wildly disturbing. VERY weird and unsettling.
Pay the extra dollar for the soundtrack.

That Edmund McMillen is an odd duck (see Cunt (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/453581), Time Fcuk (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/511754), Carious Weltling (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/131729), etc. etc.)

Crikey, point taken.

Not really digging it. Feels very unpolished and flash-like.

Seemed pretty cool-looking from the screenshots (the resemblance to Zelda is sure to move a lot of copies), but I thought I'd hold out. Besides, it's bound to be going for a dollar during the holiday season.
