You need to fix your link, it's not working correctly. I was able to get to your video and it looks like you might have the ch 3/4 switch set to channel 4 (I see your TV was tuned to channel 3). So either try switching your tv to channel 4 or try changing the switch on the back of the Genesis to channel 3.

If you're using composite then why does it seem the TV is tuned to Ch 3 on the RF/coax input? If this is the case then switch the TV to the corresponding Video mode depending which one the console is connected to.

Genesis 2 AFAIK doesn't have a ch 3/4 switch. They moved it to the RF box.

If your TV is set to Ch 3 while the Genesis is plugged into composite, it'll never work anyway. The TV can't see that setup.

He's not using composite. If that was the case, the TV wouldn't respond to the Genesis being turned on while on channel 3. Those composite cables are connected to something else.

Either way, that looks like a bad RF adapter. You can try to clean the pins on the RF cable, which may help. Also, make sure the RF cable is secure. I've had similar problems, and it turned out that the RF cable wasn't connected to my Genesis properly.

Thus I had casted massive doubt into my post. Any TV I ever used wouldn't respond to a signal source via composite while tuned into RF. But I haven't used all TVs ever made so who knows what some models might do... :|

This is probably the problem, it was either set to the wrong channel or the RF switch is broken entirely. I had a Model 1 RF switch that was broken, looked very similar to the problem shown here. Changing the RF switch fixed the problem.
