With Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 on its way, I want to get a new headset. I was looking at the new Official Sony Headset since its wireless. I also been hearing good things about Turtlebeach headsets.
I want to hear opinions.

I've heard very good things about that official Sony can headset audio-wise, but they're not Bluetooth and use a wireless dongle, which is a bit of a turn-off to me considering their price tag if. I got them I'd like to be able to pair them with things above/beyond the PS3 and PC.
It's probably not the grade of headset that you're looking for but I have a pair of Kensington Bluetooth wrap-arounds that I have paired with my PS3 that I really like.
They ran me about $30 and I use them with my PC, my iPhone and my PS3. Great audio quality and good mic.

I picked up sony's new wireless stereo headset yesterday and I'm extremely happy with it. It's very comfortable to wear and easy to set up. The big selling point for me was the 7.1 surround sound feature. I don't have a surround sound setup for my ps3 and the surround sound really adds to the immersion of the games. There is a good amount of volume that the headset can pump out. It has a volume dial on the side of the headphone and on the other side of the headphone you have a balance slider that you can make people's talking voice louder or more quiet from the volume of the game music.
Setting it up was as simple as plugging in the dongle and powering on the headset. It's that easy. I completely recommend the sony headset. Game on, now with awesome sound!

I'm also going to take a chance on the Sony wireless ones myself after work. K-Mart has a deal where you buy them and get the God of War Origins Collection for free. Nice incentive to take the plunge on it...
