I picked up a factory sealed Golden Axe for the SMS. Anyone know what this might be worth. It's kind of hard to put a value on sealed games as they don't pop up all that often. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Well, if I were you, I'd trade it to that guy in town you trade with all the time. I dunno, for a couple of 2600 carts or something :)

I'll take a Combat, Pac-Man, and this might be pushing it but throw in an E.T. and you've got a deal. :ass:

Is label damage ok? Seriously though, I got no clue what to value that at. Tricky on those SMS games when they pop up NIB. I did see a handful of sealed SMS games recently... In yer collection @_@

Since it seems us Spokanites need to take care of ourselves sometimes, I did some digging. Couldn't find a GA sealed (duh), but I did do some pricing and comparisons. If it was in my hands (and for sale, RIGHT!), I'd want $150-200. For whatever my opinions' worth. And btw, my offer of Atari carts still stands :deadhorse:

Thanks Dan. I'm glad someone has a couple seconds to spare to put in their two cents.

Is your copy the US version or European version? It makes a difference with pricing.

It's US.

It's US.
How can you be sure when you don't have the game and there's no pictures posted of it? Euro copies were distributed in Canada, they could easily end up in the US too.

I know Mike personally, so we've talked a bit about it. Haven't seen it yet, but we got a trade to make in the next couple days. I will then.
Edit: Post us a pic please, Mike.

Yes, it is the US version. Sorry I was not more specific. Here is a photo of the barcode.

Was Golden Axe Warrior one with the barcode sticker? I thought it was. I can't tell from your picture if that's a sticker or not, and I don't know the numbers it should be. So is that a sticker barcode?
edit: not that I can help you with pricing either way, since I'm not really familiar with that side of things, but the 150-200 from above actually sounds a little low to me for a sealed US version given how in demand and uncommon the title is.

Golden Axe Warrior is the one with the sticker. This one is just Golden Axe (not Warrior) and is the standard printed US barcode.
There was a CIB Golden Axe that ended on September 30th for $50.

Yeah, if it was Warrior, we're talkin tooth-puller. But maybe I'm low still...

That is the US version so it would be worth more than the Euro version. I'm not sure what the value is but I'm honestly surprised it would be worth more than $100 sealed. I know a complete one with poster sold for $50 buy-it-now, but another one without the poster sold for $15 shipped and it was the US version too. Another one went for under $10 shipped(no mention of the poster but otherwise complete). Maybe I'm just out of touch with SMS games.

In case anyone wants to see the different versions of the box art I'll post a link below. You can see the differences between the US and European versions.

Golden Axe Warrior is the rare game that's worth big bucks, this sealed would be worth quite a bit. I think Cornelius is confusing the two games.

Yeah, if you put it on Ebay it could be hit-n-miss. However, for those poor souls trying to make a NIB SMS collection, it's impossible to replace. By the look of the listings you posted, and the BiN for $50, it would seem the poster nets $30ish, eh? How much more the shrink wrap?

I'm actually the one who bought the one for $10 shipped (had to have an opened one to play). I think that low price was due to the seller have some bad feedback and there not being any photos or even a description of the game.
If those posters are worth $30ish then I am sitting on a gold mine HAHA!

Doh!!! I totally read a warrior in the title for no reason. I've done it before and will probably do it again.
