Bit Trip Beat trailer: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/44372.html
This looks pretty neat. Reminds me of a mix of 2600 style and the Bit Generation GBA stuff. The real trippy part is it's a pong variant. How awesome is that? :)

Today's vc release is the following -
Wonderboy in Monsterland - sms 500 Wii points .
The source is http://press.nintendo.com/articles.jsp?id=17347 .
The only difference between the vc version and the original Sega Master System release of the game in Europe and North America is the fact there is a Fm synthesizer by pressing the "-" button during gameplay.
The source for that info is on http://www.vc-reviews.com/news/2009/01/wonder_boy_in_monster_land_includes_special_option s .
The Fm synthesizer option makes Wonderboy in Monsterland sound better than the European and North American releases of the game if you use the option.
The Fm synthesizer add-on was not released in North America and Europe because the price.
The Fm synthesizer was an add-on for the Sms in Japan. The Sms games that used the add-on in Japan sounded better than North America and Europe version of the same game as a result.

This is being nitpicky and I'm only mentioning it on the off chance you were unaware of it and would prefer to go this route, but Sonic Chaos (GameGear version) is on Sonic Mega Collection Plus (Xbox and PS2) and Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut (GameCube) if you happen to own it or would rather buy one of those to get this.
I'm not aware of any differences between the SMS and GG version, though I'd be interested in hearing of any if anyone is familiar with the two titles.

I didn't type the games yet, because Nintendo didn't show it's press release earlier today. It is now up.
The three C64 games released today are the following:
The Last Ninja-c64 500 Wii points
International Karate - C64 500 Wii points
Pitstop II - C64 500 Wii points
The source is http://press.nintendo.com/articles.jsp?id=17564 . We are now 16 C64 games behind Europe.
I don't know how good these games are from a personal stand point. They are not on any game systems that I own. I know I will be downloading The Last Ninja though.
I never played c64 games in life despite the fact I was born in the late 70's. I own game that are found on the c64, but I own them on different systems like Tower Toppler for the Atari 7800.
I can tell you that the other 2 games of the last Ninja Series was already release in Europe on the vc. I don't know if that will affect anyone to download the first game of the last Ninja series.
International Karate + already was release in Europe for the vc. I don't if International Karate + will be released before April for the vc in North America.

The Last Ninja is a fun game, but the controls have a big learning curve, especially the timing on the jumps. If you're easily frustrated or don't like hard games, you'll probably want to give it a pass. Oh, and if you don't have a classic or GC controller, you'll probably want to steer clear of this as well. You technically can just use the Wiimote, but trying to get any exact movement with it is pretty much futile.

There has been rumor for a month at least that Earthbound will never be release on the vc. That info is found on http://starmen.net/ebvc/ .
To sum that article up, it was caused by the Attack of the Copyright Lawyers and it was a mistake to put up the ESRB rating.
The copyright things found are the game are the following: Earthbound's Soundtrack. About every song in that game was song by music artists. An example of that Moonside’s music. That music originally came from Ric Ocasek’s song "Keep on Laughin".

Great news on that, The Lost Stars was always a favorite of mine. It's as if Wonder Boy made a pit stop in the Alex Kidd universe. The game also has one of the most amazingly out of place and offensive sprites in all of kiddie game history - a naked punk with a blue mohawk shitting out skulls in the middle of the third level. The whole game is trippy, but at that point specifically you really have to wonder what SEGA was smoking. I'll definitely be getting this one.

What vc emulation info on Majora's mask is found on http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=346622&page=49 is the following:
1.) Majora's Mask doesn't have no framerate issues
2. Doesn't have the freeze problems as the Collector's edition for Gamecube has.
3.) The vc version of Majora's Mask has very very occasional sound stuttering or crackling, normally when a new area or cutscene has to load.
This info is from some Wii owner in Europe or Australia that has downloaded the game on the vc,

What is the real name of the Art Style game? I've seen three different subtitles. Aquia, Aquario, and Aquite. In the video in the link you gave, it says Aquario on the games main screen.

i downloaded it and it said aquia. from what i can tell it has different names in different regions. and then people just use them all interchangeably

With my free 1000 points, I got Warioware and Art Style Aquia. I love that when you download something it shows up gift wrapped :)
Wow. I beat Wario Ware. That took... 5 minutes? It was pretty fun, but I'd be pissed if I spent 5 bucks on that.
I read a quick review (http://palgn.com.au/article.php?id=14023) after buying it and they said the following:
The presentation is a classic WarioWare affair, ranging from attractive cartoon stylings to childish scribbles, to Nintendo-themed microgames (although the only one this time around is the coin-grab). The sound is also as wacky and catchy as it usually is, making the game seem like a strong package for a downloadable game. However, on that note, we should re-iterate that this package only consists of 20 easily beaten microgames (when previous games in the series have not had below 180). The cost of the game is only 500 points, but for a game that could conceivably be beaten under ten minutes, it becomes a little puzzling why this wasn't offered as a free download.
I agree 100%. Do not waste 500 points on this. We shouldn't have to pay for a short tech demo.
And I tried playing Aquia. What the hell was that? I have no idea what the hell I was doing. I played level one and beat it, but I have no idea what the goal was. It took like 5 or 6 frustrating minutes.
edit: I played Aquia a little more, it's pretty fun actually. It's hard to describe but I *think* I've figured it out. It's well worth the 500 points :)

Today's vc game is the following:
Uncharted Waters: New Horizons - SNES 800 Wii points
The source is http://press.nintendo.com/articles.jsp?id=17999 .
Uncharted Waters: New Horizons is a strategy game.
This is somewhat of a surprise since Europe got Majora's Mask on Friday and Japan is getting Majora's Mask on Tuesday. I don't have an answer to when Majora's Mask will get released in North America for sure.
