will be going to pick up a boxed master system and this light gun is in the box
instead of the normal gun. any help on value would be great,thanks.

Basically the same value, maybe a buck or 2 more. I have a couple, I think they came in the bundles with the systems for a while. Sega :roll: The bastards make headaches for collectors worldwide 20 years after they're dead.

and sunnyvale420 to the best i can find out these were not packins
you had to either request one from sega or send in one that you already
had and you would get one of these back from them.
the story goes that a of people complained to sega that cops would think
that these were real guns and so sega offered these to those people to make them happy!? any body with better info please chime in:)

Really? Every one I ever got came from a boxed console. But ok, I don't know it all. I do know when they show up on Ebay, they don't fetch much more money. Probably because it only takes a couple minutes and a paintbrush to make one.
Edit: All mine are painted, but after doing some looking, apparently there's a stickered version as well? Ugh, it's like 'Sega For the 90's' all over again.

gun is exactly like his:).
