You should check out Videogames Etc in Norridge, as the owner, Sean Kelly, occasionally hosts get-togethers at the shop -- people bring their trade boxes and talk games into the night.

I used to live in Waukegan. Not sure whats left in the area, I did see that People's Choice Video is still open on Grand and McAree and they usaed to have quite the selection...i Hvent been there in years, but i saw them open yesterday.

I live in Mundelein and I have never heard of this place. Might have to make to drive up there and check out this place.

I'm from Lansing, IL, which is on the border of Indiana. It's about 20 minutes away from Chicago itself.

Although I don't do as much collecting anymore (I'm in the competitive fighting game scene), you might want to consider going to Galloping Ghost Arcade. The workers there are really nice and they actually build a lot of their arcade cabinets from scratch, so there is definitely an interest in video games with them. They're very knowledgeable and courteous (for the most part...there were two guys that worked there that did not appreciate the beating in MvC3 ^_^ ).
